Owner description: the museum has a large collection of different items, cameras, jewels, typewriters, electrical goods and a basement with witchcraft and holy inquisition items, this was a personal collection built up over a long time. It's possible to take photos and ride on carriage. You can complete your visit with our audioguides in spanish, english, french or german.

This is a collection that everyone should be able to find something of interest - historic photographs, old science equipment, handguns, typewriters, costumes, instruments of torture, etc. I didn't get an audio guide, but found some information in English in different parts of the museum. The Inquisition section is a bit chilling, but fascinating. Well worth the visit.

A treasure trove of fascinating items including torture devices from the inquisition.
Very cheap entrance fee as well. Well worth a visit if in Ronda.

An unusual collection of items from the past- e.g., weapons, scientific equipment, photography, etc. My wife like the Spanish Inquisition display and the torture devices... should I be concerned?

We discovered this delightful museum on our trip to Ronda in Spain. It was a fascinating collection of everything you can think of from Roman crystal and coins to photographs of the 1940’s and 1950's glamorous film stars. We had great fun trying to remember all their names.
Downstairs was a collection of the instruments of torture from the Grand Inquistion. The mind boggled at some of them.
What was so charming was the fact that you could touch most of the exhibits and indeed, sit in the carriages to take photos.
The price for adults was 4€ and for young and retired just 2€. Excellent value

From the outside this looks a small and relatively uninviting museum, but once inside it reveals room after room of interesting exhibits. Highlights include (amongst many others) rooms displaying clocks, movie projectors, pistols, and the chamber of horrors. All exhibits are well documented in Spanish and rather quaint English translations. We expected to look around in 15 minutes but actually spent well over an hour there..
