This is why I go to Spain.. Beautifully preserved old white towns, stunning moorish-Spanish architecture, slow pace, sangria..

“A must!”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

The old town of Ronda is spectacular. A must for every visitor to Costa del Sol. Narrow streets, fantastic rock formations, views over the valley, small restaurants, good food. In short - everything to please the tourist!

“Classical Spanish architecture”
Reviewed 25 May 2014

This is a fascinating area to stroll around. It is a maze of narrow lanes flanked by ancient buildings and also domestic houses. If you get lost, listen out for the Conservatoire of Music, where all kinds of music can be heard through its open windows. Near here is a little promenade where one can look back and view the new bridge, and /or take the winding path down to the bottom of the gorge. There are many old buildings and museums to look at, showing their Moorish and Classical Spanish heritage.

“Loved it!”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

The old city is very interesting, with all sorts of 15, 15 & 17th century buildings tucked here and there. Wear very good shoes as the streets are all cobblestone and after a few hours can be hard on the feet. Information centre can provide a walking guide so you don’t miss anything. Can be done in a day if you are a hardy walker.
