“Quiet hotel in a great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2013

This is a pleasant hotel in a beautiful setting overlooking the village of Arriate. The rooms are large, the staff friendly and helpful. It's a great location for sightseeing in the Ronda area; and it's easy to drive to attractions in the Grazelema Mountains. Downtown Ronda is about 20 minutes drive; the village of Arriate is 5 minutes away. Eduardo is a charming host. After the crowds in Madrid and at the Alhambra, it was the perfect beginning to the most enjoyable part of my trip. It would not be convenient for people who have only a few hours to see the main attractions in Ronda.

This charming hotel has an amazing view of the nearby village Arriate. The atmosphere is very relaxing, the rooms have large comfortable beds and the staff are excellent. We enjoyed our stay here a lot and with a location a short drive from Ronda it was perfect for us.

Highlight of this hotel is its hilltop location and tremendous views. A great setting for a short stay near Ronda. It's a 5 min drive to Ronda so a car is required although a taxi can be ordered by the hotel costing €16 each way should you wish to have a few drinks over dinner in Ronda. Other reviews mentioned the hotel being cold whereas we actually found it quite warm and could have done with air con in the room. The owner, Eduardo was pleasant and happy to help with any questions. Sound does travel through the hotel quite a bit although we didn't find it to be a major problem. You must walk down to Arriate and visit El muelle de arriate for dinner; best meal we had in 9 nights in Andalucia.

My wife and I stayed at the Arriadh for 1 night only, after booking for two, as we found it far too basic for our taste. Good location near Ronda and the views are amazing. We were on the ground floor and it sounded like the people above were doing flamenco whilst dragging a chair around!!! We paid 50 euro per night so weren't expecting luxury but both the bedroom and bathroom were very bland with no hair dryer, no tea or coffee facilities and all rather tatty. Breakfast was continental and adequate. Would we recommend this hotel to friends - not really, but if you're after low budget accommodation with no frills then ask for an upstairs room and take your chance.

My friends and I stayed at the Arriadh Hotel for only 1 night - wish we'd spent more time here. The hotel is close to Ronda, perched on a hill with a gorgeous view of the valley and the village of Arriadh below. Eduardo is a charming and friendly host. The hotel only has a few rooms but it is very comfortable, clean and well maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable. Each room opens to a balcony or patio - I slept with my balcony doors open and the cool breeze was wonderful for burrowing under the duvet. At night the landscape was totally silent. As the sun rose I could hear song birds and a few roosters from farms in the valley. There is a lovely common sitting room and drinks and bottles of wine are available at the honor bar. This would be a great place to write your next novel - the views, the fresh air, the silence are all so inspiring! Do make sure you are familiar with where the hotel is in relation to Ronda - it is easy to get disoriented on the local roads especially at night. I agree with another reviewer that this would not be a good destination for children, as they would likely get bored and restless quickly. But couples or friends traveling together would welcome the beauty and tranquility of this idyllic location. I highly recommend Arriadh Hotel if you are in the Ronda area.

The Arriadh Hotel has a beautiful view of the town of Arriate, which is a short distance from Ronda. The hotel is off of the beaten path so you will only hear the birds and the church bells. The breakfast as excellent as is the host Eduardo. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The amenities are not what you would get a hotel downtown (restaurant, bar, concierge) because it is more like a bed and breakfast inn. Ronda was close enough for sightseeing and meals.

The hotel is a short drive from Ronda but easy to find. Very friendly hosts, excellent three course dinner and stunning view over the valley. We enjoyed a glass of wine as the sun set. Very good value. Breakfast was very good.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
SUNSETS & SECLUSION Blink in disbelief at the majestic views and glorious sunsets visible from this luxury six-bedroom hotel. On a hill above a picturesque Andalucian village and surrounded by beautiful vistas, the choice is yours: retreat into the hotel's peace, or trot out for Tapas? It's a toughie. LOCATION Arriadh Hotel is a brisk walk from the village of Arriate and is just 6km from the town of Ronda, which famously perches on the edge of a 100m deep canyon. Surrounded by arable farmland and with views of mountain peaks, the hotel is wrapped in landscaped terraces and, in 2015, a planned pool will complete the package. A key aspect of this hotel is that it enjoys the best of both worlds. You could easily spend a few days here and barely brush with civilisation enjoying the seclusion of the hotel and an occasional trot down the hill for local Tapas, or you could use this as a base for exploring the plethora of activities and places of interest in Ronda and its surrounding area. ... more   less
