Had a meal at Don Benito some years ago(¿3¿4) and had no desire to repeat the experience. But on a "dia festivo" in Ronda, and finding all restaurants full to capacity, drove the couple of kilometres out of Ronda and gave it a second chance. Was most agreeably surprised! Had an excellent, and modestly priced, lunch, in tasteful decor with attentive staff. Obviously just dining there I could not comment on the hotel accommodation, but the kitchen gets my "thumbs up".

I was a bit worried when I realised that this hotel received some of the lowest ratings on this site, but I was looking for a quiet place to crash during a busy birding trip. It did the job - and at about 60E was fine. The meal in the restaurant was good and the staff were enthusiastic in every way.

Overall the place needs a bit of a refurb, but my room was fine.

People who moan that it's not in the middle of Ronda need to read up before they book! It's 3km to the west.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms that face the main road (on the south side) which is 30m away.

First stayed here about 3 years and liked it then too. Great service, great food. Very spanish decor and ambience. Good location near to ronda - minibus service available. A little oasis in august. Oh and the barbecue is excellent too!

This hotel claims to be within the historical boundaries of Ronda, but in reality is 7 km away from Ronda on the main road. It is said to be 4 star, but I would be generous if I gave it two stars. The hotel is unbelievably dated and the carpets terribly stained. The first room we were offered smelled so badly of stale tobacco I nearly vomited. We were relocated and the next room smelt better but had a terrible outlook over the adjoining rooftop. Breakfast was included, but we had croissants that were like rubber and cereal that tasted like cardboard, even the fruit was awful. On a positive note the staff were very pleasant and there was plenty parking as the hotel is in the middle of nowhere.

Room Tip: Do yourself a huge favour-if you want to visit Ronda this is not the place to stay.

Enjoyed 3 night stay on half board excellent evening meal, ask for the resturant to be opened as with few guests present they do not switch on all the lights if not needed. bedrooms large and the hotel was very clean, staff most helpful and a nice terrace/outside bar area, 10 mins drive on road to Seville from Ronda we had 3 days which was enough here, but will return, easy parking, pool and tennis courts.
