We booked to stay here while attending a wedding in nearby Rathfeigh church. The house is utterly charming - a thatched 2 storey rambling home filled with beautiful antiques and paintings. It's warm and cosy yet very spacious and set in pretty gardens with stables. So quiet and peaceful. The owner Marina is Irish hospitality personified. On arrival, we had tea and homemade scones and shortbread, elegantly served in front of a woodburing stove . The bedrooms are gorgeous and the one we stayed in had an enormous bathroom with beautiful toiletries and everything you could possibly need - lots of nice extra touches which you just don't get in a hotel or the average b&b. Marina was so helpful and even ironed a shirt for us before dropping us up to the church. Breakfast was better than most hotels I've stayed in and again beautifully served with no deadline! This place is a class above the average B&B and costs a little more but is absolutely worth it. We were delighted with Riverstown and sad to leave the next day!
