This was the first time staying at the Brier Island Lodge. My family and I booked here after winning a whale watching tour with Brier Island Whale and Seabird Cruises. The lodge staff were friendly. The rooms were ok. No tv in the room was hard with children. A microwave I the room would have been nice since we are a family that packs meals. Wish we had a top floor room so we could have a better view of the water.its a very peaceful spot that over looks the whole Bay. Would go back again for sure

We stayed one night at the lodge. The host was very nice and helpful and was able to answer all our questions.
The room with an ocean view on the second floor was great. It had a whirlpool bath and a shower. Coffee pot and fridge were in the room. There are no tvs but didn't mind that. We did have wifi with a strong connection so you can easily stream on any devise.
The bed was comfortable. There is no air conditioning but there are fans in the room.
Breakfast was included in our package and we had an omelette, toast, fruit and coffee. Delicious.
Just a short drive you will find a general store and liquor store.
A great stay, I would defiantly recommend.

Room Tip: Second floor ocean view

This was our fourth trip to Brier Island, and our third time staying at the lodge. Once again we enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food served in the dining room impressed me more last year, but we still enjoyed our meals. The room suited our needs; the mattress was a bit soft, but we slept well. The lack of a television in the rooms is a good thing, in my opinion. There's less to distract from the incredible natural beauty of this place. (Having said that, speedy wireless Internet service is available.) The view overlooking Grand Passage, both from our room and also the dining room, is second to none. Our nature walks around the island yielded views of lots of seals and birds, plus we could see whales cavorting around one of the whale-watching tour boats off in the distance (standing near the Northern Light). And, of course, the whale-watching tour we took was amazing. We love Brier Island!

Room Tip: Be sure to get a room with a view of Grand Passage.

Can only review the restaurant as we stayed elsewhere...
The restaurant staff did not seem to have enough training on how to serve their customers. Little to no knowledge of the menu. Wait times for food, comments, bill, were far too long. The food was pretty good but not for the prices. It seemed they charged extra for the view...which albeit was spectacular...but did not compensate for the overpriced meals.

Room was fine. However dining room was a big disappointment. We had a beautiful meal there in 2016, but this year was very mediocre. A little pricey for less than average food. Service also left much to be desired. At a table of four, not one meal was delivered to the correct person and a meal containing an ngredient which was requested be deleted arrived with it included. Not a good experience.
