Beautiful island, lovely people and great food. Excellent value for money. Snorkeling is just outside the doorstep, and there is plenty to see inside the water. Very quiet and relaxing. We will surely come back.

Our group of 19 people with varied interests just spent 4 days in Tambaron Green Beach Resort this Holy Week 2014. I must say that Tambaron had something beautiful to offer for everyone. Its simple, unassuming ambience just encouraged us to be laid back and simply relax and enjoy. The owners who were in the resort during our stay and the staff of the resort were very hospitable and helpful. Tambaron's accommodations though simple (for there are no airconditioned rooms) are comfortable. Our group were served the fresh catch of the day and the resort even had a small garden where the cook got fresh basil and tomatoes to whip up a nice pasta meal. Definitely we would like to go back to Tambaron!

Room Tip: Ask for the executive rooms for it offers a nice veranda view of the beach

(useful informations bellow)
We spent 4 nights in this place and we really enjoyed :
-the delicious food (meat, vegan or fish)
-the kind staff, especially the people who are preparing and serving the food
-the very beautiful beach and the possibility to go snorkeling from 10m away from the hotel beach (many many small fishes and beautiful coral)
-the sunsets !

700 Pesos to go there by boat if you're 2 to 5 people (one way) : little bit expensive
probably 300-400 pesos if you're alone

350 pesos / pax for the "low cost" rooms : bucket shower , clean room, beds ok but far from perfect
1500 pesos for a big room in a concrete building, for up to 3/4 people, better but still with bucket shower
Meals : 200P/pax for breakfast , 250P/pax for the others meals, very very generous

We spent Christmas on Tambaron Island. It was great relaxing in the huge bamboo huts, kitted out with pillows, matrasses and looking out over the sea. Amazing views and sunsets.
Food is prepared in huge quantities for very low prices.

Snorkeling is nice just swimming out a bit and also on the next beach which is a 10-15 min walk away. Best to bring your own goggles.

Rooms are decorated with random objects making you feel like you are at home.

We spent 3 days on this little paradise beach and where sad to leave! They are only a few rooms here and we were lucky enough to be the only guest (but I'm sure it's great too with a few other people !). Jimmy and Lili, the owners, are very nice people and Lili cooks very well : she prepared us all the food we liked (she had asked us one day before we came what we like to eat) and we've tasted many local food we did not find in restaurants (like sea orchins for example). The beach is very beautiful (but the snorkling not really) and one of the boy working here took us on a small boat trip around the island and to see fishermen.
We paid 600 P a night for the room (we were 2) and 175 P per person each meal (which is very cheap considering how good and how much we had!). We also had to pay 600P a way for the boat.
It is one of our best memory in our 4 month holidays !

Room Tip: nothing fabulous about the rooms but you'll probably spend most of your time on the beach or in the hammock anyway!
