Owner description: Away from the hustle and bustle of urban life, Jells Parks has over nine kilometres of paths and trails and 127 hectares of wide open spaces. There are many barbeque and picnic areas. So relax under the shade of the Pines, enjoy the lake views at the Elms, or watch the children enjoy the playground at Stringybark or Yabbie Hill. The main Dandenong Creek Trail runs north-south through Jells Park. All paths are multi-use so you can take your choice of cycling, jogging, or simply strolling. As you pass through wetlands and billabongs, take a look at the variety of native bird life. Jells Lake is a beautiful man-made feature with a variable water level that flows from the Dandenong Creek. Its main purpose is conservation, so no boating or canoeing is allowed. Fishing in Jells Lake is permitted only from the two larger jetties. A valid Recreational Fishing Licence is required. No fishing is allowed within the conservation area. Vehicle access is from Ferntree Gully Road or Waverley Road. Enter by foot along the Dandenong Creek Trail or Scotchmans Creek Trail. Jells Park is open all year with 24 hour pedestrian access. Hours of entry for vehicles vary between gates and times of year. From Waverley Road gates open at 8am. Dogs are allowed in Jells Park on leash at all times.

Jells park became our back yard when we lived in Glen Waverley as we had no yard we spent evenings and weekends here and always found lots to do with the children. It's a huge parkland with two great play areas near Madelines and more near the Ferntree gully end. The grass is a great space for children to run.

This is a nice park with a man made lake situated at Wheelers Hill.

A great place for a relaxing walk with family and friends. Also, good for picnic and BBQ. Gas stove are free of charge to use.

Bear in mind that the park does not offer bins. So as the signs say, to bring your rubbish home with you.

Another thing to be aware of is the lack of toilet around the area. There's only a few designated toilets in the park, one being at the visitor or cafe area.

Admission is free and plenty of car park available in the area. The park can be accessed via a few entrance.

Have enjoyed going to this park over the years.

This is a 127 ha piece of land ideal for walking, resting, etc. it contains many walks,a large lake, playgrounds for the children and sufficient BBQ's for the family meal.

The park contains a restaurant and cafe and ample car parking.
The Dandenong Creek walking track cuts through the park, with the track extending for many Kms in either direction
Recommended for families, couples and single alike

A huge parkland on the outskirts of the city with walking paths through the grasslands, or venture around the lake to be a little more adventurous. Share the lakeside walk with swamp-hens and count sacred ibis and pelicans. Early mornings are the best time to share the paths with dogs on leashes, bicyclists (listen out for their bells) and a variety of local people out for a brisk walk to start their day. Beautiful in all weathers.

I enjoy everything about Jells Park. I have been here for all types of events .
It's a wonderful spot to bring your family, dogs & bikes . Lots of tracks to ride on , and plenty of BBQ's , only you do need to be early in Summer to grab one , as it does get rather busy .
