What can I say? In a word - MAGICAL!! From beginning to end, it was amazing. I went with my husband, son, daughter-in-law & 12 year old grandson. I must add that we are all Harry Potter fans so this day out was fantastic. As soon as you enter the foyer, you are greeted with photos of the actors & actresses who starred in the film. Even the flying car was hoisted above you. The staff were exceptional - helpful, polite & informative. Nothing was too much trouble. Our "slot" was booked for 3pm but we arrived at noon. This gave us plenty of time to look around the gift shop and have some lunch. As expected, the food was basic and a little dear. Better to take a packed lunch. The shop was full of everything you can imagine......wands, cloaks, scarves, sweatshirts, t-shirts, cuddly owls, jewellery and much, much more BUT really expensive. The scarves were £24.95 each!! Make sure you have plenty of money is you want to buy anything. The Hogwarts fridge magnet was £5.95 & I think this was the cheapest item there.

Onto the tour........a guide took you through the first couple of sections then you were free to explore. And what an eye opener it was. I cannot emphasise the size of this place - it was huge and there was so much to see. Artifacts from the films were all over the place - you had to look absolutely everywhere - up high, in between props. And you can take as many photos as you like but NO recording. We were like kids in a sweet shop - not knowing what to look at next. We finished around 6pm but could have spent a few more hours so would recommend getting there early. All in all, a fantastic day out!

I have only uploaded 4 out of my 250 photos - don't want to spoil it for you :-)

You can only book online - tickets are not available to purchase at the venue. And finally, as there was SO much to see, could have done with Harrys wand and the magic word "Mobilicorpus" - would have been a lot easier!

“Brilliant day out”
Reviewed 23 April 2012

This tour is excellent, there are so many things to see that you really need to go again. Even if you aren't a Harry Potter fan, being able to see behind the scenes is fascinating. If you are a Harry potter fan then the magic is still there. What can be done with special effects, animatronics, make up, etc is amazing. The attention is in the detail and there is so much it's mind blowing, a must see attraction. I didn't want to put many photos on as it would spoil it. There is a fee to get in which seems expensive BUT I think it's worth every penny.

Reviewed 23 April 2012

really a must for Potter fans - took my 10 year old daughter - we both enjoyed it...amazed to think everything was actually used in the films, butter beer delicious! Hagrid my favourite, as well as the 'suprise' at the end - I won't spoil it for those yet to visit but it is amazing !

“Great tour”
Reviewed 23 April 2012

My son and I are visited the studios and really enjoyed ourselves. Just wanted to let you know that they have run out of some things in the gift shop - some sweets, some wands, some magnets. It focuses mostly on clothes with t-shirts for kids being £16, wizard capes - £75 and wands - £25

Shop was very busy and had similar stuff to the shop in Orlando at Islands of Adventure.

Anyway we managed to stay for an hour in the shop alone.

“Harry Potter Studio Tour - fabulous”
Reviewed 23 April 2012

In the words of my daughters, it was 'awesome' and 'epic'. The whole event was well organised and easy to get to and park. It was not too crowded either, which was surprising given we went in the Easter Holidays. Two little girls went around spell bound by the whole thing. It was well presented and I would recommend the audio guide. Even our 6 year old listened to some of it. Seeing the detail of the planning and process involved was amazing. Would recommend watching the time delay camera in the Hogwarts room and the video clips on display in the beginning of the second part of the tour, just after the Knight Bus etc. Butter beer is worth a try, but you could feel your teeth dissolving. The adults thoroughly enjoyed it to and we spent around 2.5 hrs there. Could have spent longer but needed to meet some friends after.

Said 'hello' to Jason Isaacs in the foyer!

It was a fascinating insight into a truly remarkable film series. We would recommend it to anyone who has even the faintest of Harry Potter interest.
