We took our dogs here yesterday and opted for the shorter walk around the park.Parking was a slight problem as it was almost full so we managed to squeeze in eventually.Parking does cost here but we have an annual permit that we purchased from northants county council that allows us to park in these parks without a ticket and is well worth it if you visit these parks frequently. The park itself has some lovely walks and a play area/cafe quite near to the car park.It is a park situated about 3 odd miles from Corby and 8 or so off the A14.We normally opt for Stanwick or Barnwell country parks but this park made a nice change.

This is a great place to go set between corby and Thrapston in the heart of the Rockingham forest there are loads of trails through the woods where you can walk for a mile or four miles.its a great place to take pictures loads of different butterfly's,red kites etc there are a few wildlife ponds too.there are a lot of seats dotted along the trails too, there is a cafe and toilets and the parking only costs £2.60 for the day best avoid bank holidays as it gets very busy. There is also a play area for kids and it's ideal for picnics.

This place is great, take your dog on a nice long walk around the country park and then sit down to a great cup of tea and a snack. Great value for money as well

We enjoy a walk in the woods and Fermyn offers two - one at a mile long and another at four miles. Not being as sprightly as in the past we have only walked the shorter one as yet. One of the nice features is the availabilty of seats at regular intervals.
There are several ponds with wildlife and a vast number of birds including red kites. There is a good play area for children and plenty of wide open spaces. The splendid cafe make their own cakes on site so it doesn't get much fresher than that.
The car park is pay and display - but bear in mind that all funds collected go straight back into maintenance of the park which gets no funding from the local authority (shame on them).
A very pleasant place to visit.
