Bella Vista is a tiny place and we were there for a weekend, where practically everything is shut, but we enjoyed our 2 day stay. The main objectives of our trip were fishing and relaxing and this was a great place to do it, en route from Buenos Aires to Iguazu Falls. BTW Olfi (of Olfi Pesca - check his Facebook page or ask the hotel - was a great fishing tour contact. All of the hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel location, facing the river and about a 10min walk from 'town' was great. The restaurant was a little pricey but we went with it because it was convenient, had a nice vibe and a good selection of dishes. The grounds/garden/pool area are beautiful and the room was fantastic - tastefully decorated, of a very good size, clean and peaceful - with a HUGE bed and crisp linen. Outside the room was a deck with swinging chair. The restaurant owner was a legend, making phone calls to his contacts on our behalf, to figure out the best way for us to get the bus out of there. The only drawback was that the hotel had been having technical issues with phone/email etc, so our advance correspondence was a little delayed and confused (even though my husband speaks fluent Spanish), and in the end we were unable to pay by credit card ... Bella Vista isn't the easiest place to get cash out of ATMs with a foreign card!
