“Lovely Elegant Neo-Classical House”
Reviewed 5 July 2018 for a stay in June 2018

I just had the pleasure of staying in this lovely neo-classical house on Andros. The house has a GREAT location in the little downtown of Chora with views on all sides of the water. It is well maintained and the host is extremely responsive. I highly recommend this house over the hotels - my friend and I looked at all the hotels and decided that our house was a real find! There is no air-conditioning but because this is an old house it has high ceilings with breezes flowing through. The temperature remains comfortable even when it gets hot. If you want an "authentic" Greek experience - not yet altered through extreme tourism, this is the place to go!

Would you recommend this hotel to a friend?   Yes.

Management Response

Dear Bahira,
It is always a pleasure hosting well educated persons who can understand the value of the unique experience that an old traditional house of over 150 years old can offer to guest. Indeed the see breeze that enters from the 3 sides of the house situated almost at the tip of the peninsula, combined with the high ceilings reaching 5 metres and stone walls of 1 metre thickness can maintain an ambient temperature in hot days. In calm days, fans will do the job! For the cold winter days electric heating warms the house. When refurbishing the house we tried to keep its original form as much as possible. Aircondition units would be a paraphony in such effort!
