"Wow!" says it all. Amazing vacation...completely different from other vacations I've taken. Tres palmas itself is amazing! Then you add in the incredible ocean view, jungle, and incredible sightings of monkeys, makaws, etc (while sitting in the pool!) Oh...and not to mention the excellent meals prepared by the caretakers (Marvin and Yerlin), so worth the $5 per meal! Best guacomole I've ever eaten! I loved this place!!!!

“A Natural Paradise”

Our family and a few of our closest friends stayed at Tres Palmas in April and were overwhelmed by the wonders there. We were so lucky to find this amazing places sitting high above Cabo Matapalo where the jungle meets the beach. Marvin met us at the airport and was an indispensable asset throughout the trip. From nighttime journeys to see sea turtles laying their eggs to a hike into the jungle to enjoy a local waterfall - Marvin handled it all and he can cook too! The property was amazing and the rooms and cabinas were gorgeous and kept immaculate. The wildlife was awe inspiring. We saw 3 different kinds of monkeys, scarlet macaws, toucans, coati, frogs, tamandua and so much more. There is no way to explain how wonderful this place is. We cannot wait to come back.

Comfort in many ways. Great fresh food prepared perfectly even brick oven pizza! Hot showers, a bonus on the OSA. A beautiful pool to swim on all day and night. Friendly staff. we saw four species of monkey 3 of them right from the pool as well as whales swimming buy in breaching . Tamandua, Peccary and Coati were seen right on the property as well macaws and toucans. Two species of Dart Frogs were seen on the property as well. A walk to the beach for surfing and tidal pools filled with sea life such as tropical fish sea urchins sea cucumbers and nudibranchs. I forgot to mention the view as you get out of the car is breath taking!

Reviewed 12 January 2015 for a stay in January 2014

This place has a special piece of my heart. Not only is it beautifully designed and perfectly situated for a day or relaxing by the pool or adventures into the rainforest, followed up by the most amazing meals from Marvin and the family. I can not wait to go back!! It really is paradise on Earth!!

I consider myself a very experienced traveler. 4 families decided to take an off the grid trip to Costa Rica and we stayed at tres Palmas with Marvin for a week. I was the most amazing vacation we have ever experiences. Tres palmas was Fantastic with amazing meals service and wildlife. It was the vacation. Of a lifetime for my teenagers but it is truly Jurassic park

“Paradise Found”
Reviewed 31 December 2014 for a stay in December 2014

We loved our stay so much in 2013 that we booked right away for 2014. It was just as spectacular the second time, and we can't wait to return. From sunrise at dawn to the stars at night , the view is always breathtaking. But there's so much more - four kinds of monkeys, neon coloured birds, coatis, toads and fragrant flowers right at our doorstep. The layout of the house is superb - comfy for 13 of us with enough space to lounge in the hammock or play cards. The pool is lovely, and the beach a hike down. Marvin, Yerlin y familia are gracious hosts and amazing cooks. I'm still salivating for "guac o'clock" , our pre-dinner ritual, plus the delicious fresh fish and fruit. Gracias George, Brad y Marvin - los Canadians will be back!

“Tres Palmas Rocks”

If you are adventurous enough to go to the Osa Peninsula, get yourself to Cabo Matapolo and stay at Tres Palmas. Luxurious accommodations surrounded by pristine jungle swarming with monkeys, macaws, parrots and toucans. Steep stairs underneath the canopy lead to beach below. Plenty of activities to arrange, including Corcovado, fishing, nature hikes, surfing, etc. Honestly, though, you will see as much wildlife spending a day luxuriating by the pool as you will anywhere else. Marvin and his wife stay nearby, are great resources, they do not intrude at all and highly recommend you have them cook dinners. One our of favorite family vacations ever, and already booked return trip. I only hope that Cabo Matapolo remains a bit of a challenge to get to, washboard road and all, so that it is not overrun and discovered by the masses..
