We spent a week at Jeevaklui in February this year. Certainly one of the best boutique resorts we have stayed at in Asia. The service was superb/ spotlessly clean/ very helpful staff. Highly recommended and will go back again. Value for money.

The resort is on the luxury side and the same time cozy and laid back. All staff has been very friendly and helpful. Seperate pavilions assure your privacy and provide amazing view at the sea and Bali's volcano. The rooms are not the biggest so we had to place baby cot next to our bed. But our bed was big and soft, bathroom huge with outdoor shower and we had this huge, under the roof porch with oversized day bed was a great place to chill out. Between pavilions and the beach is a spacious lawn shadowed with several palms that is perfect if you have with you running toddler. Infinity pool right in front of the restaurant is beautiful, clean and big enough for swimming.
As for the beach, we were there in February and it might be seasonal, but the beach was practically of no use to us. Dark, half volcanic sand (Bali classic), narrow (5m at best) and with relatively big surf. Also, from the lawn to the beach is app 2m drop so if you have small ones with you, watch out.
The food in the restaurant was good but the prices were relatively high. We did not really go anywhere else to eat as the nearest town (village) is 4km away and needed to take taxi. (with toddler not so convinient). However, the location of the restaurant 15m from our room (noise was never a problem) was enough of a perk to outweight the price. Our son was sleeping soundly in the room while we could enjoy dinner and drinks at the pool without need for babysitting.
For those who look for something more private and peaceful, this is a great and romantic place to stay, with balinese luxury but without balinese crowds. As we were also told, great start point to exploring Lombok.

Room Tip: Choose the rooms in the first row from the sea, beautiful view from front porch.

Wonderful hotel with a fantastic view on the volcano.
The beach is really clean and the team very helpful, Ana at the reservation was very efficient and professional.
The pool area is really distressful and invite you to rest....
Lombok is much more clean, nicer and authentic than Bali, rent a motorbike and enjoy the fantastic beach view all around.

We were met at the new airport by their very amusing and informative driver and whisked away to 2 perfect nights at Jeeva Klui in one of there spacious well designed rooms.
Jeeva Klui was our introduction into Lombok and it couldn't have been better this fabulous boutique hotel was perfection. The rooms and villas are well spaced giving everyone plenty of privacy. We didn't hear any noise from other rooms at all.

Our room was not on the waterfront but we still had a filtered water view between the rooms in front as this resort is very well designed so no one misses out on a relaxing view even the ground floor room that we had. The garden surrounding our room was very appealing and they had a large square of decorative grass in front of the verandah that meant we had greater privacy as no one could walk right in front of our room.

The bathroom/cupboard area is spacious with outdoor shower/ garden the decorative doors to enter this area were stunning. We had cable TV to keep up with the news and to watch a movie if we wanted the bar fridge worked well as did the aircon the beds was very comfortable and giant I've never slept in such a large bed. The verandah area was very large with daybed and table and chairs.

The pool and dining area has plenty of loungers, chairs and tables as well as some loungers and huts along the beachfront. The sand in this part of the north is grey to light shiny black but the water was clean enough although there was quite a lot of wind and it did mean the tide washed up some debris from the sea but this was cleaned each morning. We enjoyed a beautiful meal on our second night there and it was the best we had in Lombok seafood prepared perfectly.

The service was great and all the staff from gardeners to executives where very friendly and always wished us a great day all day. We arranged our transport to Gili Meno through them it was the same price as the small agent across the road and I felt as we ordered return speedboat transfers it was more reliable. They also checked that both our accommodation on Gili meno and a Sempiak Villas in the south were all expecting us and that all the transfers were timed perfectly. As it turned out this was very helpful on Gili Meno as the staff in our accommodation there Shack 59 had quite limited English and couldn't understand what we needed but just as Jeeva Klui had arranged there was our speedboat at the time and place arranged by them to take us back to Lombok.

They very generously allowed us to leave our large bags in storage there even though we were not returning and was waiting with it outside when our transfer to Sempiak Villas stopped in after picking us up from the harbour. What service they had there usual broad smiles and greeted us as old friends.

The only complaint I had is that we couldn't stay longer they had a wedding and the hotel was booked out when I decided to extend after my plans changed before going to Lombok would I stay again yes would I recommend it to others yes again.

Great job Jeeva Klui.

If you plan on visiting the island of Lombok, I would definitely recommend staying at the Jeeva Klui Resort. It's only a year or two old. The resort is located on a beautiful and tranquil piece of property. The infinity pool is so beautiful and designed to look like it's flowing right into the ocean. The rooms are clean and have a contemporary island-like decor. The staff is very nice and friendly. The hotel is a 5-10 minute drive from the downtown area (which is small and has few restaurants - Lombok is not very developed- It's Bali 20 years ago). The hotel has one shuttle. Sometimes you have to have them call you a cab as the shuttle is occupied. This wasn't a big deal for us as we visited Lombok to relax and not do much outside of the resort. A great place to relax read your own book or one of the hundreds they provide for you in the lovely resort library. The drinks are yummy - if you're into ginger, you MUST try their ginger martini. The chef was just hired in January and he is mixing up the menu. Very good food.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxrAv5Q8Bok -- (Recorded in HD, watch in HD if possible) After spending nine days at this fabulous resort in Feb. 2012, Doug Mackenzie, President & Principal Photographer of Mackenzie Images (www.mackenzie-images.com) has put together a video collage of some of the magical moments that we captured. Staying with my fiance', Angela Stapleton, we found an oasis of peace, harmony and an incredible Indonesian "spirit". Lombok is so special. And this resort is a hidden treasure that excites the mind, body and soul..very romantic...!!! Fantastic views of Bali, great beach, very cool "infinity" pool, sunsets that mesmerize you, epicurean delights everyday, totally 5 star appointed rooms and decks, a killer spa right on the property, but above all, the staff and service are what make this truly a wonderfully magical experience. Don't hesitate to book your next romantic holiday and adventure on Lombok at the Jeeva klui Resort. (www.jeevaklui.com)

Jeeva Klui has taken the classic 'recipe' for a beach resort & made what is easily the perfect pit stop for weary city dwellers who live in the region. A small property, with a total of 35 rooms, it offers very reasonably priced rooms which are all more or less the same size. Some are a little bigger & have their own pools. Service is casual but always excellent and respectful, the staff never failing to smile & greet you. I had most of my meals in the hotel & generally everything was pretty good. However I would stick to the Indonesian or Asian dishes though, which are understandably superior than the Western fare. The spa is also very good: try the Jeeva Revive or Serenity massages to bliss out on while the sound of ocean waves lull you to a deep slumber. Two downsides though: it only has one restaurant. (If you're there for 3-4 nights, that would be fine. Any longer, the menu options might get limited.) Wi-fi is available but extremely slow. So if you're expecting to stay connected all the time, this might get frustrating. Nothing that a refreshing glass of lemongrass mojito can't cure though!

Room Tip: Room 215 or any of the upper level rooms facing the sea. The lower level rooms are fine too. Just th...
