Stayed at this hotel for a family wedding the end of may....staff were very good but have to say they were very scarce in numbers...a really lovely and helpful girl was serving tea and coffee on arrival and have to say she was trully brilliant...food wad excellent for the wedding but very slow on service...price of drinks were shocking...and room rate in hotel way 2 expensive...in all we had a lovely time but have to say i felt this hotel was not as good as the last time i stayed which is a pity....17.50 per person for breakfast is way way to expensive...

Our family had dinner here yesterday evening. The food was excellent, the staff attentive and professional and the meal was surprisingly good value given the sumptuous surroundings. Highly recommended.

Had a hard time finding Heritage Golf and Spa. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Facilities offer golf, spa, tennis, walking track, pool. Looks like a very nice course. Did not see the tennis courts, but we prefer tennis. This was a vacation to see as much as we could not sports. Visited a neat little pub down the road in Fishertown. Breakfast buffet was excellent and staff was great. Could consider 5 stairs but wanted coffee in our room and pot would not work, called down and it started to work when the desk sent someone up. Next morning I jumped out bed to make tea and... Pot would not work no matter how I tried. Large room, nice bath area. Funny rattle in wall all night in room 425.

We didn't plan to stay here but heavy rain on the Monday afternoon changed our plans. Very reasonable rate at 120 Euros for a twin (inc breakfast). We had lasted only 2 holes on the Monday when the heavens opened. Gerry in the pro shop kindly booked us in for an early morning round the next day. Because he did this, we decided not go back to Dublin and stay at the hotel. An excellent decision in the end even though we were 120 Euros lighter. The room was lovely with a spacious and ultra clean bathroom. It was quiet too. We had a nice bar snack meal in the evening - spicy Louisiana wings were to die off but you needed to like garlic to eat them!

A peaceful sleep and then it was an 8am tee off after a reasonable enough breakfast.

Top quality course, lovely greens and it held up on that Tuesday morning (27th May) despite the torrential rain the evening before. The bunkers however remained flooded.

I'd recommend a stay here and certainly a round of golf here, especially in an open competition as the price was amazing - 25 EURO!!!. It was the perfect start to our three day golfing getaway. Despite the rain!

Definitely going back and playing it again in May 2016 ;)

On arrival - beautiful hotel and pleasant reception @ friendly concierge. Generous size suite - plentiful for all the family. Italian restaurant food is average..... especially as this is 5star...... Very family friendly hotel. Fine dining restaurant was most enjoyable -good enough menu selection - and good kids range. In the casual lounge area whwre you can dine - a waiter managed to pour an entire pint of beer over one of our baby daughters.... A 1 year old. Not pleasant experience at all - I had to return to the room and totally shower & change her. The waiter seemed a bit hesitant to apologise...... unusual for this industry. Eventually, when we returned to the rest of the family... The waiter did apologise and his manager offered to dry clean the dress. We accepted apology but didn't take up the dry cleaning offer. After a stressful evening things where about to get worse as we returned to our room to find the door adjar. Room service had been in to do the turn down service and did t realise there had been fault with the door - it's a heavy chain sprung door - but it wasn't closing completely. All our personal belongings could have been at risk - and anyone could have entered the room whilst we where at dinner. The dutymanager came to the room and apologised after inspecting the door....... and offered a bottle of wine to compensate for the problem. Again we turned down the offer. Security is essential in a hotel - no matter what. Overall pleasant hotel but has faults that need to be addressed right away. If you intend to play golf here- book in advance - especially over holidays.

I spent one night in The Heritage and wish it could have been longer. Amazing hotel and the surroundings are breathtaking. The staff were exceptionally nice and the rooms and attention to detail were excellent. We attended a dinner in the Club house which was lovely. I didn't have time to experience the SPA which I have no doubt is amazing ( a tad expensive) but I hope to one day.

Room Tip: a room overlooking the golf course

Beautiful surroundings and hotel worth all 5 stars. It's a bit of a trek to get to Killenard but well worth it. Staff extremely helpful and food superb, esp the Arlington restaurant. Tough golf course - a bit damp in the punishing rough but fairways and greens magnificent. Caters for all standards of golfer (our h'caps ranged from 8 to 28 and we all thoroughly enjoyed it). It's walkable but consider a buggy if you're in doubt.
