“Pretty expensive for what it is and arghhh, the curse of guided tours”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

House much more impressive externally than inside and enjoyment of the latter diminished by compulsory guided tour the day we visited. Guide was reasonably informative and friendly but fact is, tours are NEVER a good way to see a house. Too long in some rooms, too little in others.

Glad we went but would never return.

“bit disappointed”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

House looked great but disappointed with the value for money. Maze is small... dinosaur trail needs gardening...woodland walk was a just a stroll.... read really well online but could have had a far better day out for the same amount of money. If you take a picnic with you be prepared to carry your rubbish with you as it is hard to find a bin!!!

“Fab tour”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

Just returned from a trip to House and gardens, the gardens are beautiful and very well kept but the highlight was the guided tour of the House, the guide who I think was called Maryam was so informative and knew everything about the house and family, it was so interesting and the hour just whizzed past, I would definitely recommend a visit

“Great attraction, when others are so over-run!”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

Faced with four grandchildren (ages 5-10) to entertain over a whole day, a local attraction that has escaped our attention for a few years did the job for us today! The park and gardens, including an extended adventure playground, climbing experiences, long fun slides, zip wires, water features and an overall highly safe environment was VERY welcome. There are gardens with dinosaurs, a maze and sculptures.

At only £9 per head, no matter what age you are, there's fun for the kids from 11am to 5pm (and time to sit back and relax for grandparents!) Well done Knebworth!

“Knebworth House and Gardens”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

We had a lovely day visiting Knebworth House, where we joined a guided tour. I would definitely recommend this, the tour guide has an excellent knowledge of both the house and family, and it is completely fascinating seeing the history of the family going back to the 1500's and right up to the present day.
The gardens are also beautiful and well worth walking around, plus the Pets' Cemetery is very touching. We rounded the day off with a visit to the cafeteria for a well deserved pot of tea and a slice of cake. Excellent
