We stayed here as it was within walking distance to the eden project. We had a double room en suite with was very nice. Clean and comfortabe! there was a tv and drink making facilities in the room - much needed! A good hearty breakfast was served with friendly service. Could't have asked for much more. Made to feel very welcome. Only thing I could say is a map with places to eat in the room would be very helpful for people that dont know the area and get lost eailsy!! Thank you.

We stayed here as we were attending a family wedding and were not disappointed. Marion was warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome even my cousin who was staying somewhere else. It was lovely to receive a much needed drink when we arrived. We had three of the rooms which were all very comfy and clean with facilities for tea and coffee. We even had bottled water which I thought was a bonus especially if you have to take tablets! The breakfasts were varied and plentiful and there was even a vegetarian breakfast which my daughter was more than happy about and pleased to be catered for. Marion and her husband were great hosts and we would definitely book again (but don't tell my brother who only lives 5 minutes down the road!)

This was our second time staying here but probably won't be our last. Before we arrived we were called to check everything was ok. Lucky enough as we had just had a sat-nav issue and were very grateful for the directions. We were greeted with a lovely cuppa and some biscuits by Marion upon our arrival and shown to our comfy rooms. After a good nights sleep we had a fantastic, tasty and plentiful breakfast (ample options for veggies and meat eaters). Our hosts were very friendly and helpful.
We came to visit the Eden Project which is only a short walk from here making it a perfect place to stay for us.

We stayed here specifically to visit the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. The service is excellent and the hosts delightful. We had the double room with en suite which was very good - comfortable, good TV, fridge (turn off at night!), drink-making facilities, bottled water. Breakfast very good - extensive choice and cooked to your preference. 20 - 30 minute walk from Eden Project, which entitles you to discounted admission. Would definitely stay again if in the area. We would have to say that St Austell is not great but in the area are lovely villages and harbours and the property is actually near the village of Trethurgy, outside St Austell. Also, there are many good restaurants within a few miles.

Room Tip: Not all rooms are en suite. Ther is a self-catering option.

We chose to stay at the little grey cottage due to its location being pretty central to everything we wanted to visit in Cornwall, this being our first visit we were happy with the decision. The B&B it is off a very quite country road in the village of Trethurgy which was perfect! The country road links to one of the main roads through Cornwall so once you knew where you were and what you wanted to do it was easy to get about.

The B&B itself was just what we wanted as it was in a quiet location with very nice grounds. Our room was the Master Double En Suite and it was decorated very tastefully and was spotlessly clean with tea and coffee making facilities which were topped up everyday and fresh towels upon arrival. You had plenty of choice come breakfast with the usual options of full English, toasts, cereals, yoghurts, fruits, juices, teas etc all very tasty.

Mr and Mrs Johnson were full of local knowledge giving us little hints and tips depending on where we were going for example getting a train into St Ives from Lelant Saltings was a great little tip. The best tip though is that if you walk to the Eden project you save plenty of £’s and to top it off one of us was a student so practically got in for free after the walking discount. On the subject of the Eden project, it is literality a 20min walk from the B&B along the quite country road then through a field and you end up at the venue. The walk was very nice and the fact you know you are saving £’s makes it even better, it also meant you could spend that cost saving on a pasty later on in your holiday. The Eden project is definitely worth a visit even if you were not within walking distance.

Would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Cornwall, the owners were very friendly and helpful, it was very clean with great breakfasts plus its in a central but very quite location with good road links to the rest of Cornwall.

We initially chose the accommodation as it was within easy reach of the Eden Project, which is approximately a 20 minute walk from the hotel.
We initially booked for 2 nights then moved on to the North Cornwall coast but were so impressed with the accommodation that when we decided to stay on for a couple of extra nights we returned to the Little Grey Cottage.
The rooms were comfortable and the decor to a standard better than the bigger hotel we stayed in on the North Cornwall coast.
The full English breakfast was excellant and set us up for the days exploring.
Mr and Mrs Johnson were brilliant hosts and enhanced the enjoyment of our holiday as they had time to chat to us and provide advise on places to visit and to eat.
Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

My partner and I and her parents stayed at the Little Grey Cottage whilst visiting the Eden Project. We were made to feel very welcome by Mr and Mrs Johnson the owners throughout our stay. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The breakfast menu was extensive and catered for meat lovers and vegetarians alike. It was all freshly cooked and served with a smile (most important!). When there was a problem in one of the rooms during our stay it was dealt with quickly and courteously and with the minimum of fuss. I would highly recommend the Little Grey Cottage to anyone wishing to have a comfortable base from which to visit the Eden Project and other attractions in Cornwall.
