We were told about this fairly new venue by friends, so we went for the three course lunch. We were certainly impressed with the lovely food, excellent service and setting, we will be back....

The owners deserve success with this venture. A tastefully modernised group of barns set between two vineyards. There is an extensive wine cellar including the wines produced on site which are of a good standard. This was our second visit on this occasion it was a French food and tasting night. Several courses of well prepared food matched with appropriate taster portions. The highlight for me was that Hake dish and the combination of the Sauternes with the Creme Brûlée. On our previous visit had a very good sunday lunch. I would say this is a great venture which deserves support. I will certainly return soon.

Although the small starter we had was fine, this restaurant lacks atmosphere, and service.
.For a Saturday lunchtime to find only one other table occupied should have given us an idea that this is not a popular place with locals.Much of the food on the menu was unavailable.

We had visited wishing to discuss planning our wedding reception here, but really couldn't imagine booking such an unprofessional establishment.
For a relatively new venue,we were so surprised at the lack of interest by Adrian Derx(the owner ).
Really can't believe that in this day and age that anyone could be so disinterested in taking a booking.
Not sure this venue will succeed.Camel Valley you most certainly are not!!!

Dear Piri-Piri,
I would have loved to host your wedding reception but being already booked by another wedding couple on your chosen date, there was nothing I could do apart from inform you of this yesterday to save you a wasted trip.Considering that you booked a consultation with me after the visit you describe on the Saturday, you obviously liked Knightor and your comments seem grossly unfair.
I understand that with the date being fixed your disapointment that we are not available for your wedding day as we are a unique and lovely venue, and hope that you find somewhere great to celebrate the happy event.
Kind regards,
Adrian

It does take a bit of effort to find but it's well worth the effort. The winery is in a beautiful spot not far from the Clay Trail and the Eden Project. We had tapas for lunch, which was excellent and fairly priced. The sweets were fantastic and service was very friendly. Now to the wine, which was simply superb. The only problem is you may, like us, feel compelled to buy a few bottles!

Highly recommended.
