“Very good hotel in a perfect location”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

Exactly what i was expecting from the rest of the reviews and the recommendations from people that had visited it. The place is a family run hotel with an amazing coffee shop and pastry shop underneath it. It is based right in the center of the capital city of sifnos and its back door is right at the start of the famous road with all the shops and the bars and restaurants in apollonia. Dont expect a five star hotel (no one says actually that it is a five star) but be sure to finda very clean room, air condition and fridge (necessary for greek islands) clean bathroom and nice people running the establishment, If i would go back to sifnos i would probably not stay in apolonia but if i did it would be in my list of hotels to stay as after i visited i show that there are some boutique hotels that could not find them in booking. i would prefer to stay somewhere near the sea as the distances are very very small so you can go to apolonia from everywhere in just 15 to 20 min maximum. in general a very good hotel and a very good location

Room Tip: number 4 room is considered to be one of their best. i would agree

We stayed after a cruise and the relaxation time was very much appreciated. Food was excellent as were rooms. Only complaint was noise from non-carpeted corridors echoing through the hotel. All inclusive drinks were fairly average and served in very small quantities.

Had a great time and would certainly stay there again.

This hotel is perfect for someone who hasn't a vehicle because the bus station is exactly near the hotel's entrance. Everything was clean and people was polite. Despite these, I think it was a bit expensive as I stayed there in September and breakfast was not included, there were not something special as view for example. Of course I knew it when I was booking the room!

The cafe here serves great coffees, cakes from the adjacent sweet shop and all while you wait for the bus. It's handy to have wifi while you have delicious coffees served in the traditional brikkies. The service is pleasant and quick with plenty of time to catch the bus straight outside the door.

Room Tip: Didn't stay just stopped for coffees ...often

Spent 2 nights at the Anthoussa Hotel whilst attending a friends wedding. Room was clean and functional. Bed was comfortable and room was air conditioned. Room had its own safe for valuables (always a good thing to have). Only disappointment was the shower. The hotel is over the bakery and the aroma is wonderful. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Would we go back, probably not. Great for 20 something's but we like creature comforts. Pleasant stay nonetheless.

People seemed very polite when we got there but if you have any complain about the hotel ,they will have a really bad attitude.. Not very clean but the location is nice,we are people who don't like to get into trouble but these people are very provocative with a few exceptions.shame on them because with the same money we could go anywhere else and the island is half empty,I just don't get it!next time I won't be here for sure

Not the quietest hotel, since it's near the central bars (busiest on friday nights), but the back rooms are really comfortable, with a lovely terrace surrounded by bougainvillea covered trellis and ideal for the evening sun. Very nice, well-appointed bathrooms with proper shower screens. Really comfortable beds, and excellent cleaning - the room smells fragrant when you return at the end of the day. Convenient for the bus-stop - just outside - and for the shops and tavernas. At the front of the hotel is their wonderful cafe-zacharoplasteio with fabulous selection of their home-made ice-cream, chocolates, and cakes. The manager is very hospitable - go down in the evening for a drink and some sweets and a party soon starts. Try the ice-cream, and the karydata (a sort of sumptuous chocolate and walnut macaroon). Not a place for weight-watchers to stay...
