nice, well maintained property with very helpful staff. I was hoping for something a little more of a wow factor, something creative or special design wise. Bed and linens seemed a little low budget but good a/c made up for it. Still a nice plain charming option that is close to the city centre for nightime dining and island life.

For scenic, convenient location, comfortable accommodation, and excellent service we think this is your best choice on Sifnos. To drive in, you have to take a winding narrow road out off the main route between Apollonia and Kamares. But once at Petali Village, you are on the pedestrian path between Apollonia and Artemonas and can easily enjoy a stroll in either direction. At every turn, you’ll have new views of the hills, dotted with tiny white chapels topped with blue domes. The hotel is modern, but in traditional style, with a pool and terrace. We were in suite 7, which we think is the best, because of the views from its wrap-around balcony. In mid-May, most of our services were provided by Nicoletta, the friendly, efficient and very knowledgeable receptionist who speaks excellent English.

Room Tip: It's an easy walk to restaurants. A good Italian place is quite nearby, and then just a bit fart...

Petali Village Hotel delivers on its three star status: good location, nice rooms, and a welcoming staff-- all at very reasonable price. We were there late in the season (the first week in October) so it was quiet with just a couple of other guests. Our room was in excellent shape with a very nice porch. The public areas are comfortable-- not luxury, but in good shape. For example, the pool is quite small but it's in good shape and was just right for a quick dip at the end of the day.

Possibly the most relaxing hotel ever!

Set high on a hillside between two of the larger towns on Sifnos which gives you walking access to everything that you could need in terms of eating and shopping. In the day you can relax by the pool and look out over the the ocean and the white sugar cube houses of Appolonia.

The owner, Georgios, will bend over backwards to ensure that your stay is perfect and has some of the friendliest and most considerate people working at the hotel that I have ever met. He really understands the improtance of customer service...so much that we have gone back twice!!

Perfect hotel on a perfect island if you are looking to get away from everything, relax and recharge.

You will not regret staying at the Petali Village.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay here. The staff are extremely efficient and fastidious. The rooms were beautifully maintained. Breakfast was very nice with a great selection of hot food, cereals, fruit and the traditional sweet choices! Tea and coffee are always served to your table by the staff. This is a nice touch that you wouldn't get in most 3 star accomodation hotels.

The hotel is well situated just a short walk to Apollonia and then a short bus trip to anywhere on the island like Kamares, Vathi, Faros or Kastro. These are all great places to visit!

If you want to experience a bit more of the traditional Greece that you really don't see on some other more tourist oriented islands, then this is a great place to visit, especially around Apollonia. You feel that you are in Greece here more than just a tourist resort.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a water view if possible. Although views of the whitewashed houses on the hill a...

I had a beautiful time at hotel Petali. I found it exceptional across the board. My room was spotless, quiet, and with a view of the neighboring islands. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The location is perfect, close to the center of town as well as the beautiful village of Artemonas. The hotel itself is gorgeous in its island architecture, flowers everywhere, and panoramic pool. But the best aspect of the hotel is the staff. Nicoletta and the rest of the crew couldn't have been more hospitable, helpful, and gracious. It felt like staying with a family, and I can't wait to come back.

We stayed here at the end of April. To wake to the tolling of the bells and to look out of our window across the white houses with blue doors and windows, to the Agean in the distance, was truly wonderful. Transfer to and from the ferry was provided and the staff were friendly and extremely obliging, helpful and couldn't do enough for us. There is a lovely stepped path from the hotel to the village of Apolonia where there is a selection of restaurants a taxi rank and bus stop which gave easy access to the rest of the island. It really is a relaxing and quiet location without the bustle and crowds of the more tourist oriented islands. Although it was pre-season, most places were open. I would not hesitate in recommending the hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms above the pool level have excellent views and easy access to the breakfast area
