Castle Apartments-Zamecka Apartma
Certificate of Excellence

My wife and I spent three nights in the Castle Apartments in mid- May 2014. We had apartment #5. This is one of the larger apartments with 2 bedrooms (both have fantastic views), a large bathroom (two sinks, tub/shower, bidet), a large kitchen/dining/living area, and a large entryway. The apartment has a corner view of the main street and as luck would have it we were there to view from our windows a parade celebrating the end of WWII. The building dates from medieval times and is adjacent to the first courtyard of the castle. There are views of the castle gates from the apartment. The check in is at the nearby information office. The staff was helpful and efficient and Alena carried my wife's heavy suitcase up several flights of stairs (over my protests). The stairs might be a drawback for some. However after that they left us alone unless we had questions which suited us fine. There is no maid service, which also was fine with us. The free wi-fi was fast enough to quickly download my daily newspaper. The kitchen has a cook top and a refrigerator and a few dishes and utensils. we did not do any serious cooking and not sure why anyone would with all the options available for eating.

The building is very secure and locked nightly. The only access is through three locked doors that require a key. Several restaurants nearby offer a variety of cuisine and the staff will make recommendations. Fair warning, there is a pub downstairs in the building that is open from about noon until midnight or so. On the weekend nights it can get pretty loud. It did not bother my wife enough to keep her awake and I used ear plugs just to make sure.

Breakfast is included in the price. It consists of boiled eggs, local pastries, meat, cereal, yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea, and juice. It was all we ever needed though we occasionally added a trdelnik from the local shops.

There are many available properties in Cesky Krumlov but Castle Apartments offer a fantastic location, great value, and some of the best views in the city. I would highly recommend them.

Room Tip: If you book online be sure to get a confirmation.

We booked 2 apartments(3 & 4) for 6 people. The rooms are huge and despite being hard to find initially, they are a fantastic location from which to explore this beautiful town. Great breakfast and nice comfy beds.Recommend for anyone coming to CK

We stayed in room #9 at the top of the stairs and it was really amazing. Lots of room with a hallway to the shower and WC, a room with the master bed and living area, and another room with two smaller beds. It was very clean the view out the windows was fantastic. It was the perfect choice of a place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, be sure the arrange your checkout time before hand as they are not available 24/7.

Room Tip: Room #9 at the top of the stairs was very private and quiet. Check in at the information office on t...

We were spending this trip to Český Krumlov with my in-laws. We stayed in Apartment 5 which was spacious, clean and had lovely views. The wi-fi worked great. The location was great and easy to find. The stairs could be a problem if you have lots of luggage or have trouble walking. The staff was super helpful and provided us with a lovely breakfast across the courtyard. My mother-in-law was in awe of our proximity to the castle and loved looking out to see the entrance gate just a few meters away.

Since few years ago, we have started booking Castle Apartments. From the moment of arrival, nothing could be better. The reception staff (reception is located just at the castle entrance gate) was always smiling and willing to help, and even arriving late at night was never a problem for them.
Rooms are equipped simply, but still very comfortable and majority of apartments have a nice view. There was never any noise at night, even though the rooms are just in the middle of everything - at the castle. Breakfast served is absolutely sufficient, and service is ready to offer you warm meals up on your request, and there was always a plenty of food, even though we sometimes arrived before the breakfast closing. They just counted on us, and always treated us very well.
Definitely book rooms at U Tri Havranu, rooms are perfect - go especially for apps 3, 4 and 5.

Room Tip: room no. 1 has no "entrance", your bedroom is just behind the appartment entrance door - b...

Stayed in apt 5, top floor for two nights this summer. The apt has two bedrooms, a big living-room and a spacious bathroom. Free wifi, worked very well. Tv in the living-room and also a small kitchenette. No room-service. Breakfast is served in a cafe a cross the courtyard, at the tourist-informtion. Breakfast was ok, nothing more. Parking is a problem in CK, but it is possible to get a short-time parking-permission to unload the car, and then park at the brewery, a five minutes walk from the apartment. The apartment is at the beginning of the old and beautiful town of CK. Just outside the door you are in small cobbled streets with restaurants, cafes and shops. For us this was a very good alternative to a hotel.

We thoroughly recommend a trip to Cesky Krumlov (3 hours by coach from Prague) and a stay in these apartments. We stayed in Apt 3 in the old Apothecary at the House of Three Ravens, right next to the entrance to the castle. The woman at the reception was really helpful, the apartment itself ideal for a couple seeking a romantic historical holiday location. It's extremely good value and we definitely hope to return. A buffet breakfast was provided in a couple of rooms in the information centre - not bad and it sets you up for the day. Another place to recommend: Dobra Cajovna, a small tea-shop close-by run by an extremely friendly guy. We went every day and enjoyed relaxing in the courtyard at the back.

Room Tip: For the two of us Apartment 3 was fine: a double bed, a small attached kitchen with fridge, shower r...
