I have stayed in Pension Danny several times and was never disappointed. The old renovated house has a nice atmosphere and is situated right under the entrance to the castle. Outside terasse restaurant, really friendly staff, generous breakfasts - you don't need anything else in Krumlov! ;-)

The owner of the pension is friendly and helpful. Location is the pension is great, just 10 minutes walk from the bus stop and around 100 meters the castle. The room is quiet, spacious and clean. Definitely is a great choice with the budget to stay in town! The breakfast time is around 8:30, as I was rushing to catch the bus in the morning, the owner push ahead the breakfast time to 8:00 for us.

I agree with the previous comment, "more like a hostel." If you're traveling in a larger group of people under thirty-years of age and need cheaper accommodation that can house all of you in one room, then Pension Danny is fine. If you're a couple on a romantic getaway, then you can do a lot better (for the same price, we found out after walking around the town). Cesky Krumlov is FULL of cute accommodations, so do your research (and don't just take Rick Steve's word for it in his guide to the town, like we did). And I also agree with the previous comment about the sheets - for Pete's sake, PLEASE GET NEW SHEETS!! The least that I expect in a hotel of any kind are decent, soft, clean sheets that don't look like they've been in use for ten years and still smell of someone else's cologne and body odour.

Gorgeous little hostel! Friendly staff! Easy to find, litterally 100m to the castle entrance! And short easy stroll to the old town square! We loved our room it was like a loft, very quaint but spacious! Had our own fridge & ensuite for a good price! Definitely worth staying a night or two as the city is even more beautiful at night & and all the day trippers have left! We would definitely recommend!!

Lonely Planet called this a midrange hotel, but it was way too budget for us. The beds don't even have sheets, just a weird scratchy terry cloth mattress cover and a quilt. We slept in our clothes and changed hotels the next day. The breakfast came with instant coffee and is served in your room on the only piece of furniture besides the bed.
It was clean, but that's about it.
