“Nice modern 2 room apartment”
Reviewed 7 October 2013

Stayed in one of the modern apartments with 2 rooms in Cesky Krumlov for 5 nights. It is very centrally located within the old town, just off the main square. The apartment has Wifi, is very clean, spacious & comfortable, furnishing is minimalist & modern. It had a small kitchenette with a cooking facilities and a fridge. Each of the rooms had its own TV, table and comfortable chairs. The apartment is cleaned once every 3 days when the towels are changed.
Parking is 6 Euro a day in a public car park nearby, you buy the ticket from the reception, otherwise the daily or hourly charge in the same carpark cost alot more. Cars are not allowed into the old town but you can drive in and drop your luggage before parking in the car park. It is a one way system and the streets are narrow, as we did not have too much luggage, we found it easier to park the car in the carpark and took our luggage to the hotel. The apartment is on the second floor and there is no lift, some parts of the stone steps can be a little narrow. The apartment offers very good value and I have no hesitation recommending friends to stay there.

The apartment we stayed in was spacious, comfortable, clean with modern furnishing and very good wi-fi connection. Price for the suite was reasonable. Staff of the residence, especially desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Residence is located just in the heart of UNESCO town Český Krumlov a couple meters from Main square (Namesti Svornosti). On one hand it is a big advantage, since everything is close but from the point of view of access it is fully contrariwise. To get to the residence was a bit problematic for us and we needed navigation of desk clerk via phone. Nevertheless it was stressful and absolutely inconvenient for me as a driver and for tourists in the historical centre as well. First we had to drive through the narrow streets in historical centre full of tourists. First attempt was unfortunately unsuccessful as we missed one turn. After we finally found the residence we had obtained the card for temporary access to the centre (valid for 24 hours) then we unloaded our luggage and in city information centre (fortunately located very close to the main square) had bought 24 hours valid parking card (for approximately 6 euros). Subsequently I drove my car to the parking place located out of historical city and went back to residence by foot (fortunately took me just a few minutes as well). Next day after the check out the procedure has been repeated. I had to go to parking place by foot to pick up the car and had to drive a car back to the centre in order to load the luggage. To get there and to get out is only disadvantage (but not omissible) of this residence.

Special lodging in an old building, apartment-like with sparsely equipped kitchen. Perfect for families with bigger kids or 2 couples traveling together
High standard on rooms and beds.
No air-conditon, after a hot summerday, the loft can be very warm.

Beware, small stairs makes access to the higher rooms tricky if you got a heavy load or small kids along.
Its very central, advice before trying to go there by car: locate the spot first on a map, and have a 5 minutes walk from nearest parking-lot and check-in to get necessary permit to enter the citycentre by car.

Nice apartments - our was really big (room and bathroom) with a nice kitchen annexe. Good wi-fi connection and nice stuff. The only problem might be, that there's no parking available in the nearby area (only about 5-10 min walking from the hotel).

My wife and four month old baby spent only 1 night here in July. We stayed in room 1 and only paid 50 Euro including offsite carparking.

You wouldn't call this a hotel - more of a guest house, as there is no restaurant, and the reception is shared with the museum that is on the ground floor. Sadly, we only had one night here and could have stayed 3 or 4. The room itself was a bit on the small side, but we managed (with the baby), but considering that many of the buildings in CK are 500+ years old, it was fine. The room was recently refurbished, with a new bathroom, kitchenette and furniture.

You can park your car right out front to load/unload, and then drive 1.2km to nearby P1, and then walk back via a shortcut.

There is no elevator, so be prepared to haul your luggage up the stairs!

I'd recommend this quaint little guest house and would stay here again.

The apartment is well located in the centre of town. However, there is no air conditioning, a problem in the hot summer. The apartment we were allotted was big but lacked character and charm to match the beautiful city outside. The staff barely spoke English so it is not ideal for foreign tourists.

Room Tip: Choose a "historical" room rather than a "modern" one

We stayed for one night in Cesky Krumlov however, once we got there, we wish it was two nights. We chose the attic room in this little inn as it was larger, although it did require more steps. The room was massive! And it had a full kitchenette, and living room. An excellent view of the castle from the windows from the attic room. Great value for your money compared to Prague. One issue, the beds squeeked each time you moved.

Room Tip: choose the attics rooms for the size and view.
