Well, it's kind of a nice place. But you have to realize that it is a Penzion, not a hotel in the traditional means. This just sums it up, if you want to know more, just read on ;)
Location: The penzion is located in the heart of Marianzke Lazne. It's a 5 minute bus ride from the main station (and a 10 minutes ride back, i kid you not) and maybe 3 minutes to walk from the bus stop to the Penzion. The center of MLZ is quiet small, so you don't have to walk very far to wherever you want to go. If you look for the place, just look out for "Cafe Art", this will make it much easier to find. Just go to the cafe and ask for you room key.
Hotel: The rooms are located in an old building, a bit shabby from outside, but very nicely decorated on the inside. While the decoration has a classy feel (read historically), it just feels right. Once you step in the corridor of the house, you will forget the not so fresh looking outside of the house. The appartments share a small kitchen, with a fridge and a microwave (no heating plate or oven, though), which are free for use, i guess.
Room: Well, same as the house the rooms are very classy decorated. Mine featured a large enough sleeping room, with two big chairs, a small tv (german and czech TV), two separated beds and a large bathrooms with a big tub and two (!) washing bassins !
While everything was okay, i must add that it has a slightly cheap feel (well, it cheap !). The beds were okay, but not super comfy, the towels were a bit rough and the soap was from the suspender. Nothing to really brag about, as the place is really good value, but maybe you want to know. I must also add that i became a bit cold through the night (only -3 degrees outside) and the blankets proved to be not thick enough to compensate the cold temperature. This meant i froze a bit at night.
Services: I found the services typical for eastern europe when i arrived. They got the job done, but didn't really bother to do much more(read: they gave me a key, showed me the room and gave me the WIFI pw when i asked for it). In the morning i met the owner (i guess), who made a much better impression on me. I guess he provides better service when he is around.
Breakfast: They ask you when you want to have breakfast. For a good reason. They prepare a table for you with the breakfast at that time. The breakfast was wholesome in quantity, but not really overly rich in quality. It was just fine, but it was nothing that would make spring out of my trousers because of excitement. Though, it really provided everything that you could ask for at a breakfast. (Apart from good coffee).
Well, it's a very good value place, with a very nice bathroom (i guess lady's will really like the bathroom with extended washing possibilities). The breakfast was adequate, the location good and the price too. I cannot fault this place much, as it is very nice. But it's not the uber-boutique hotel that you might expect, when you read some reviews on popular booking websites. For this, they must work on the service. At the moment the penzion just feels a bit se
