The Location of this restaurant is amazing. The perfect place to pop the question to your beloved or just enjoy a romantic meal. We visited on a sunny and warm April evening, sat outside on the terrace sipping chilled white wine whilst soaking up the view over the roof tops of Prague. we walked through Cherry Orchards in full bloom to reach this location but the funicular railway stops here as well. We chose from the menu the 5 course tasting menu (600k that's about £20) and it was excellent. the service was friendly and helpful from my initial email to them to book a table to the moment we left. Having visited this restaurant twice with 3 years between each visit the standards appear to remain consistant and did not disappoint. I would like to keep this restaurant a secret, but that wouldn't be fair. Visit but book first and enjoy!

Visited for lunch. Our simple lunch arrived after approx 45 minutes. Quality of food was moderate: spaghetti okay, caprese was flooded with dressing. Waiter did not provide bill, only total sum orally. Worst encounter during 5 days Prague. Only pro of lunch was the view on Prague.

I recommend to look at the view first and then take lunch somewhere else.

The food we ordered was actually very good and price is very reasonable. But the service was very disappointed. We visited the restaurant on a sunny Sunday when everybody had the same idea to take a walk on Petrin Hill. We got a table inside. The table was not actually set. The waiter gave us cheapy paper napkins, missing silverware for a party of four. We had to ask for cloth napkins like those were given to guests at other tables and an extra set of silverware. We didn't dare to ask for placemats! We did not want those waiters spit into our food behind our back. When it came to pay, they gave us a bill of 1300Czk, saying it should be 1400 because they had forgotten to charge a bottle of water. By the time we paid they said it should be 1500 because they had again forgotten to charge tea and espresso.... It was ok for us but the waiter made such a face when my daughter asked him to give us a bill with an exact amt. I can only recommend this restaurant if you enjoy this sort of nasty, unprofessional service.

The views from the restaurant are always spectacular, in any season. It is located midway on the Petrin hill and the funicular makes it easy to get to. Just exit at the midpoint of the ride and it is just steps away. We enjoyed lunch on our last visit to Prague, had great view and very good food. A table by the window will make the experience more special.
The walk down the hill is easy and offers nice picture opportunities. If you have time and energy and want to sightsee some more, you can walk straight across and find your way to the Castle, or go up the hill some more and find your way to a large rose garden( Ruzove sady), Planetarium and Rozhledna ( Prague's small version of Eiffel tower)...and if you have children with you, they will enjoy the Mirror Maze, as our grandkids did!

Great fun getting there by the funicular which stops right outside the restaurant, which has spectacular night time views of the city. The food was very good but the restaurant was a little quiet on a Sunday, so lacked atmosphere. However, we can imagine in high season it would be packed. The staff were charming and we had a wonderful evening.
