“Terrible”

Where do I even begin...

The room we stayed in, while very large, was so hot inside I felt like I was going to pass out. There's no AC and no fan. We opened all six windows and this barely made a difference. It was only a mildly warm day outside, so I'd hate to think how hot it would've been on an actual hot day!

This hostel caters to tour companies like Topdeck and Contiki. Indeed, both were there the night of our stay. Even though the hostel clearly and overtly advertises no noise after 11pm because it is illegal and there is a police station down the road, we were woken up all night by people returning to their rooms, presumably after the pub crawl, so they had no regard for anyone else and were yelling and slamming doors all over the place.

You are not allowed to close the shutters outside the windows for "security reasons" (there is a huge fine if you do anyway), and the curtains look like thin bed sheets. Therefore, just as all the guests were starting to quiet down and go to sleep, from 5am the sun was streaming into our room and we still couldn't sleep!

There were no hand towels provided in the bathroom, nor soap or handwash (other PLUS hostels I've stayed at did provide towels and soap). There were also disturbing stains all over the tiled floors and walls of the room.

Lastly, I agree with all other reviewers who have said this area is the slums of Prague. It is far too long a walk to get into the city, and although the trams are close by... why not just stay somewhere closer (and presumably nicer) and avoid the hassle?

Felt like we were in the slums of Prague. Bit too far away from town. Rooms and foyer were incredibly hot and uncomfortable with no air con. Tried to book advertised tours through them and their phone system wouldn't work. Tried to hire bikes from them but they wanted a €150 cash deposit for each bike. They say there is a 10pm noise curfew but we were kept awake by drunk tourists from the hostel from 10pm to about 7am. Wouldn't recommend anyone stay here.

This hostel isn't bad but for about 4 extra euro you can stay in a area that doesn't feel like a getto slum the food is over priced the beer is served in plastic cups and is just as expensive as anywhere else and you have to at LEAST spend 2 euro a day on public transport as there is no way in hell you could walk anywhere. My suggestion find a hostel that is in prauge for a few euro more and you'll be much happier

I recommend staying closer to the main city area, as this place is too far out and kind of dangerous too, especially for solo females.

This accomm prides itself on secure safe environment when in fact security can be easily compromised by faulty locks on doors and public access to the restaurant after hours giving easy access to late night thieves to steal from targetted rooms. I lost almost everything except clothes and, despite an excellent front on view of the thief in scrurity camera vision, management refused to call in the Police to investigate. All a bit too easy for management to ignore when guests have to leave on the bus at 8am. Be very wary of staying at this accommodation, it's no where near as good as the brochures suggest.

Room Tip: Don't get a room near the first set of stairs. These are targetted by the external thieves let...

Location isn't the most central and requires a few changes if taking public transport from the airport but its simple enough to use. Otherwise its great. Modern, spacious, very clean. It is huge and busy with tour groups but noise wasn't an issue. The 2 of us had a private room, which had a separate toilet and shower. The shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water. There were lockers in the room if you needed them and individual lights by the bed. There was free WiFi in the common area by reception. Breakfast was basic, cold meats, cheeses, cereal and toast. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Stayed for 2 nights.
Like the other Plus Hostel, there is a sauna, swimming pool and wifi.
All the staffs speak English, so it is so easy to communicate.
Especially when I left my glasses in the room and I already left Czech. Only 2 phone calls, no language barrier or frustration,... and my glasses arrived in Spain for free.....
Can you imagine who would do such favour in a foreign country?
If I had stayed at other hostel, I probably would never see my only pair of glasses again....

Location: Yes it is not right in the city center but there is a tram that goes into the city and back, regardless of what time in the night it is. I think it is number 12 during day time and number 54 at night which is every 20 mins from the main street.
It is less than 10 mins walking distance to the train station.
