This was the BEST restaurant we tried in Prague. The starters were divine all I could here was groans of pleasure as we ate ! The one pity was the main course was so good and I wasn't hungry enough. Fab coffee do try this place!

Came across this restaurant by chance and so glad we did. We decided to enter because of the appealing menu at the entrance. The restaurant is down quite a steep staircase to an underground room. The staff served us very promptly and advised the best Czech wine to have with our meal. The meal (starter and main) were expertly cooked and quality of ingredients was high. We can highly recommend the Goats cheese starter, and the Pork loin main, very tasty and no fat at all on the pork. Overall excellent meal at a reasonable cost.

A pleasant surprise as it does not look very welcoming from the outside, being down some stairs into an underground cellar area. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the waitress did not stop smiling all evening, obviously enjoys her job. The Czech beer, especially the Merlin, and the locally produced wine are superb, the best we sampled during our stay in Prague. The food was of a high standard and very reasonably priced - the Czech dishes are certainly worth sampling. The atmosphere in the underground cavern was very pleasant, great for a small number of friends (we were four) or a romantic evening. The only negative was the added service charge on the bill, which was about 20% - we ignored this and just paid what we felt was right. (Maybe if the owner reads this review and others that mention this, they will take note and change their policy - a surprise like this is not what you want at the end of the evening). We enjoyed it so much we actually went back again on our last night.

We had a lovely meal here on our first night. It is difficult to gauge how nice it is from the outside as the restaurant is downstairs and of course once you are in you feel committed! The ambiance was lovely with a real rustic feel. The food was excellent, service good and it was reasonably priced. Overall definitely worth a visit.

We came after we've read few good reviews. The appetizers were pretty good including potato soup and patte. The main dish which included pork knuckle was very fatty and the apple shtrudel looked like he was defrozed. In addition, 20% tip was included!! We were charged for lot of extras we didn't ask for.
