“Excellent Pilsner pub”
Reviewed 21 October 2013

U Veverky has an atmosphere of a typical pilsner pub. The beer is excellent, the staff are very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Just yesterday I had their signature dish - beef, cream sauce and dumplings (svickova) for only 6 euros. The meal deserved the title of the best svickova in Czech, it was absolutely delicious. I can really recommend this place to anyone who likes traditional Czech cuisine and good beer. When in Prague, U Veverky is a must see.

“Good Pub, Good Food”
Reviewed 25 September 2013

This is a standard but very nice airy and roomy pub. It was easy to find just north of Hradcanska nam tram stops and metro station in a quiet leafy street with some lovely secession style bulidings. The Plzen beer was good, service prompt and friendly and the food very good. By the time we got there - nearer 2pm most of the specials were gone till evening so we both had the chicken cordon blue - breast stuffed with cheese and bacon - which was very good and great value for money. There are 3 or 4 other pubs nearby if you want to wander round the area plus some local shops if you are self-catering
