This is a nice hotel. The staff seemed a little stressed here which makes me wonder if its because they deal with a lot of high demanding guests or because they get a lot of pressure from management. But, they do really go out of their way to try to make you comfortable. The room was very small. But, the bathroom was nice. They have a small but, nice restaurant/lounge area. We had brought a couple of our own bottles of wine and they were nice enough to open them and let us drink them in the lounge. They also have a rooftop which is nice to check out. It has a nice view of the city. I would say the location was OK. Not super close to everything, but not real far either.

We came to Prague to celebrate my girlfriends 30th birthday. I made some prearrangements for something little to surprise her and when we arrived, everything was prepared. She was amazed and soo happy and I was very satisfied they listened to my wishes.
We loved the hotel. It is in an old building and they made the best of it, to make it a modern hotel. I am not sure why some are complaining about the location. Those people are not used to walking I guess, because in 10 minutes, you are in the center. Many metro stations are nearby, so it is very convenient to park the car somewhere outside the city for a few euros and take the metro, because the parking at the hotel is very expensive.

The hotel itself is a classic European Sheraton, no surprises here. We went for dinner one evening in the restaurant and we loved it!

The location of the Sheraton is fantastic, especially on a first trip to Prague. You can easily walk everywhere or take the very efficient public transit at the end of the block to get around this magical city. We used our SPG points and were not disappointed with our room or the lounge. The lounge on the first floor was a real treat and a good value.

It was 27-35 degrees each night we returned from the Christmas markets, concerts, and evenings with friends. It was like "coming home" as we entered the warm and festively-decorated Sheraton. We stopped in the lounge (closes at 11 pm) for (complimentary) wine and coffee to warm us up and unwind from our busy day in wonderful Prague.

We encountered a small problem at checkout which was resolved by the SPG Manager.
We were very satisfied with our stay and the very helpful staff at the front desk, lounge and the concierge.

Room Tip: Be sure to goto the roof top for a great view of the city.

This was our first trip to Prague. We had looked online for a hotel close to the sites. This one looked good. We took the train from Vienna, (just over 5 hours) and had a driver from the hotel pick us up. It's not too far from the hotel, probably less than 2 miles. The rate was reasonable, 12 Euros. The station is quite large and we probably would have gotten lost so it was nice to know for a reasonable price we could book a car. The hotel is about 2 blocks from Wenceslas Square. We literally walked everywhere, the old city, the Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, the Opera house, etc. We like to explore the city & walk as it gives you a much great appreciation of the local culture. We loved all the street vendors selling food...it tasted amazing. Most will take Euros so you don't need to exchange your money for crowns which is the local currency.
The hotel was great. The club lounge is on the main floor and served breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. There was a pretty good selection out for all of them. The staff were very nice and easy to deal with as they all spoke very good English. We were upgraded to a suite, which was lovely. It was 2 stories. We loved that we could open the windows as we found they like to really heat the room and we like ours on the cooler side. Our bedroom was upstairs. We had 2 bathrooms, one on the main level and one upstairs. Lovely deep tub, towel warmers, a number of toiletries including hair conditioner, which in the US you take for granted you are going to get, but you don't receive it all hotels in Europe. Lots of space in the bathroom. Not a lot of counter space though. There is a 110V outlet in the bathroom. We brought plug adapters and laptops, I-pads, Nooks, camera and cell phones don't need a converter as they are dual voltage. There were a number of outlets in the room for our electronics. The internet was much faster than our hotel in Vienna. You don't get a lot of English channels on tv, mostly news channels, but that is normal for Europe. We were gone most of the day exploring this great city so we didn't watch a lot of tv. The bed was firm, the pillows were down and so was the comforter. There were reading lights. The closet wasn't very large, but it did contain shelves. There is a safe to lock your passport in. There are lovely bathrooms on the main level of the hotel by the bar, nice for when you first come back from a walk or just leaving. There is also a computer center if you don't use their internet that you can check your email from on the main floor by the bathrooms. It's a nice layout. We would definitely stay here again.

The location is there biggest asset, breakfast is good, front desk ok, and concierge is of no help.
Internet never works and there is a charge for it.
My recommendation is to stay in an other hotel like Intercontinental, Radisson or four seasons.

Room Tip: They do tray.
