We stayed overnight here on a day that was about 95 degrees F/35 degrees C and it was AWFUL! We were in a top floor apartment and there was no air conditioning, no windows that opened, and no fans! It was considered a 1 bedroom apartment but was more like a 2 bedroom (1 bedroom with a door and a separate open loft area) that would comfortably sleep 2 couples as long as you don't worry about a lot of privacy.
The bedroom was at the top of the building with lofted ceiling and no windows! There were dormer windows on the ceiling but I couldn't reach them and they were covered with ugly, ripped shades and worst of all they didn't open which meant we got to sleep in a room that was at least 100 degrees all night without a fan. It was probably one of the worst nights of sleep I have had in a long time. My in-laws stayed in the loft which had a tiny window that opened but unfortunately to a restaurant courtyard that served until the small hours of the morning so it was quite loud.
The bathroom was dingy and in need of repairs and refinishing. We didn't stay long enough to use the kitchen but it looked decent.
Check in was at a hotel that is outside of Old Town which is very inconvenient whether traveling by plane, train, or automobile. The front desk staff was friendly but not very helpful. When booking, they claimed to have parking "on-site" which really meant you parked at the location you checked in and then had to take a tram into Old Town and then walk to the hotel. I feel like this was very misleading. Also, it completely took away from the convenience of staying in Old Town because we had to move our car by 10 AM the following morning because we had to go back out of town, move the car, and then go back into town. Might as well have paid less and stayed farther out of the Old Town. We agreed to pay a little more to make the travel easier on our parents which turned out to be a huge mistake because it was not easier at all.
Lastly, the printed out instructions they gave us to get to the hotel were horrible and we ended up wandering the streets of Old Town with our luggage until someone was able to point us in the right direction. The sign for the apartments was printed out on a sheet of printer paper and posted underneath the restaurants menu. Also, the apartment number they gave us was incorrect so we stood at the door trying to key in for 5 minutes before I just happened to try the room next door which they keys actually opened.
Overall, we had a very bad experience. These apartments may be okay for a group of young guys or gals who are looking to roam the streets of Prague to party but I would not suggest for a family. Also, I would not suggest anyone stay here in the summer unless you don't mind sleeping in 100 degree heat.
