We stayed in the Hotel Chopin for 6 nights with our 2 year old daugther, the hotel was nice and clean, the furniture in the hotel seemed relatively new and the room was of good size with a nice bathroom. We used the hotels carage and found it to be a cheap solution compared to the other parking facilities we checked out near by. The hotel is close to the National museum and just beside the main station, and we thougt that the location was perfect. The hotel provided us with a baby bed and it was made with both sheet, pillow and duvet/cover and free of charge, and also thumbs up for the free wireless internet all over the hotel. The only thing I can think of that would have been nice was a little fridge to keep the bottled water cold.
All in all I think that this hotel has all you can expect from a 3 star hotel and even a little bit more :)

Firstly, we got the Airport Express bus from the airport to the last stop (there are only a few) which is the main train station in Prague (journey took 30-40mins). This is a very very handy way to get to the Hotel Chopin as the hotel is 2mins away from the train station. The cost of the bus was 50crowns each.

**We would have found this very useful - when you get off the bus, go into the train station (the building on your right) and through to where the platforms are. Here go down the esculators and turn left. Walk straight through the station in which you will come out to a park looking area. Go through the park area (30secs walk) and the hotel is right in front of you)**

On entering the hotel, it seemed very clean and modern and the reception staff were very friendly. We had 3 adults staying in a room which on arrival looked like would be a normal double and then the 2nd bed was a double sofa bed that was set out. As the sofa bed was out, there was little spaace in the room but this was not a problem as we were out all day. The room has tea making facilities and the shower is great (good pressure). Hand wash and shower gel are also provided.

Safes are available at the hotel but not in the rooms. Instead they give you (free of charge) a safe in the offices just opposite the reception desk! The only nuisance with this is that you have to get the recpetion staff to unlock your safe before your key for it unlocks it!

Breakfast was brilliant. When we were there (midweek 4 nights) breakfast was from 7am til 10.30am. There was a great choice, orange and tropical juice. Cooked (scrambled egg and hot dog style sauages) as well as a large selection of breads, jams, tea etc. Tables were cleared efficiently (sometimes a little too much) and we had to wait 10mins one morning for a table but often you could get a table.

The location is great as it is just over 5mins walk to Wencesles Square. However we found that more of the tourist attractions are a little further away as Wencesles Square is actually a street and is actually more geared up for shopping such as H&M, M&S etc!

Finally there is a computer (mac) and a printer, both free which are very handy though as with all hotels, there is nearly always some on it. It did break during our stay but within 24hours they had had it fixed.

Overall an excellent hotel. We paid what seemed like a very good price for 4 nights for bed and breakfast. A pretty good location (though not as good as it can be) but with this comes the quiet that you might not get at a more central location. The hotel is spotless and the staff are friendly and efficent. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We have stayed at Chopin for four nights. It is well located 50 meters from the Railway Station (and Metro station), at the border of the touristic area. So it's a good point to start discovering Prague every morning, but - at the same time - you can sleep out of the most crowded and noisy streets. The rooms - not too wide - are well furnished in a very lovely modern style. They are perfectly clean and well maintained. The buffet breakfast is good and various. Staff is kind, but... The only negative point is this. We were in Prague during the vulcanoc eruption in Iceand. So we had to stay one more night at Chopin Hotel. We asked the reception, in this emergency, to stay one more night at the same rate we had booked for the first three nights through Expedia (about 70 euro per night). They refused and asked us for 120 euro. It wasn't a kind behaviour, knowing that we were forced to stay there because our flight had been deleted. Except for this particular, we would certainly back to the Chopin Hotel.

Went for a short break and stayed 3 nights at this hotel. We had a twin bedded room on the top floor which had great views from the window - which was a small round window which was quaint. The room was very clean and had obviously been refurbished as had the rest of the hotel. Nice fluffy towels, tea and cofee making facilities, hairdryer, shower gel and hand wash in the bathroom. Lift was reliable. Air conditioning was great once it worked! In fact the lack of air condtioning on our first night was the only negative about this hotel.

Reception staff were very helpful and booked us theatre tickets and an evening dinner cruise. Freen WIFI accessible in the rooms and free use of a computer and printer in the reception area was an added bonus.

Breakfast plentiful and even had hot food (scrambled egg and frankfurter type sausages) lots of choice of the continental style items as well.

The location was great as well, just 2-3 mins from the main railway station where you could access the Metro and getting around was so easy.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone really.

Dear Guest, thank you for choosing the Chopin Hotel for your last trip to Prague. We are pleased that you liked our hotel. However, we were most concerned to hear about your complaint and the inconvenience caused to you during your stay. We would like to assure you that the increase of your room rate was not related to the difficult situation you were facing. Our hotel had full occupancy on this day, which causes higher rates. We are very sorry that our reception team did not give you an adequate explanation which would have helped to solve this inconvenience. Please rest assured that we have forwarded your feedback to the relevant employees. We will conduct additional training to prevent a reoccurrence in the future. Once again, we apologise sincerely for the problems you encountered and thank you for bringing us this matter to our attention. Dear guest, it would be a pleasure for us to welcome you soon again at the Chopin Hotel Prague. Kind regards, the Hotelmanagement and team.

Simple hotel, great location right across from the train station. But what surprised me the most was how much breakfast you get! I did a whole trip through Europe, stayed in really nice hotels and Hotel Chopin had the best breakfast spread! (Sausages, eggs, varieties of breads and cereals and fruits). What a great way to start your day!

The hotel itself is simple, staff is friendly and it has clean rooms at a good rate. I recommend staying here for Prague. You can take the trams everywhere and they are down the street. Honestly you only need a tram for the Castle but you can walk the whole city otherwise.
