First, it was unclear that we were in vlaska not the one near charles bridge. Showing the booking sheet, the taxi driver took us to the charles bridge one, and Martina was very unapologetic about us having to order and catch a cab again to vlaska and wasting 1.5 hrs and 15 euros. That was so disappointing as I was here for work and money was not an issue, and I only picked due to the location.
THEN the apartment - only one set of keys. No phone inside. We were told the outer door of the apartment is locked at 6pm - any normal person would interpret that as locked for the outsiders. I gave the single set of keys to mum while I went off to do work, and when I got back, I was locked out. Mum was inside. Our apartment was faced towards the vestibule, so yelling did not help. When I found a nice stranger and called Martina, she was again unapologetic, and said that 6pm is from inside. THAT IS SO DANGEROUS, what if there is a fire? There is no phone in the apartment, what if there is a robber? You could easily die, not being able to escape, or jump out.
Also, only 2 channels of TV worked, there was no aircon, no heating (it was really damp and dark and cold despite the season), the entire intercom set is broken (so no one can talk to someone inside), no dryer.
I would feel better if Martina was more apologetic, but she was annoyed. Maybe these guys treat non-white ethnic background differently. WORST PLACE EVER, so upset. My first time in prague is ruined.
