Our stay here was more than I hoped for. We had a wonderful room, plentiful and fresh breakfast daily and front deck service was spectacular.
My only suggestion would be to have the restaurant staff more welcoming. Not a good vibe to start the day unfortunely.

Just returned from Prague for Christmas and this hotel has possibly the best location one could ask for. Situated in the Old Town area, it is literally 2 minutes from the breath-taking market square which was lit up with lights and lined with stores. Lots of character on this side of town and most sites are walkable. The hotel is clean and comfortable. We booked a deluxe room and paid on average £100/night. This included breakfast which was good for European standards. Service was slightly slow so 1 point deduction for the constant need to wait for food and plates to be replenished. Otherwise helpful staff were efficient in organising our transfers and massages. Limited English TV but wifi is free. No gym either for avid athletes but public gym next door. Warning, single beds are pushed together in deluxe rooms so if this is a deal breaker, look for an upgrade.

Literally diagonally opposite the hotel is The Grand Orient cafe which is housed in a famous cubism building and served excellent coffee by day and cocktails by night. Cafe Lourve is also well worth a drop in anytime of the day. If you like pub grub and beer, go to U Tri Ruzi and enjoy the pork ribs. For fine dining, would definitely recommend Alcron. However, the food at Kampa Park was sadly underwhelming.

Whether it's work, rest or play, I would return to Barcelo Old Praha without any hesitation.

Very difficult to get a better location, a stones throw from Old Town Square, sights, restaurants and bars. The main shopping areas are also just around the corner. Room was clean and spacious, although the sloping ceiling did get me a few times - I think that was possibly due to the local speciality brew :0). My booking site advertised a coffee machine and iron, however these weren't there and to be honest not a big issue at all. Our stay was over the Christmas period so breakfast time was pretty busy with some minor logistical issues in having to wait for clean plates, but again not a big issue.
I would certainly stay here again.

We have stayed now 4 times in this hotel and every time has been enjoyable! Rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is always pleasure. There are many good restaurants in the old town and hotel restaurant Bohemica Old Town is definitely one of them! The location couldn't be better. This Christmas we had reservation to Suite and we were upgraded to Grand Suite...very nice surprise: 110m2 room with jacuzzi. Special thanks to Anna in the reception!

Overall a very enjoyable stay at Barcelo. Rooms were very comfortable, clean and service was very good. Liked the roof type rooms which were a little novel although not the most practical. Location is perfect right in the centre and close to the Metro. Easy to get from the airport to the hotel via bus and metro. Would definitely recommend to friends. Note limited TV channels which has to be purchased and you have to request for toiletries which are available for free.

The location steps from Old Town square is amazing. Very nice service and room -- we were upgraded without asking from a suite to the Grand Suite with a wonderful terrace and view over Celetna street. Good value for the price and responsive service. Their pickup at the airport went smoothly. Highly recommended. A number of excellent restaurants just steps away.

Location is superb, but need some improvement on the basic things!
Not even 1 box of tissue provided, 2 shower holders but cannot hold the shower head in position, or rather don't fit at all. Make taking a shower a real challenge.
Staying at Room 202, it's make up of 2 same size rooms, you enter into a room big enough for a 2 sitter cosy sofa but there was none. Only a big writing table with 2 chairs, which was not comfy at all, then there is the toilet that has a tiny sink with a very powerful tap! Imagine the splashes! The next room is the bed, it
is a bit hard, but it's acceptable.. the bathroom has a huge sink, but no where to put your stuffs... And the shower that doesn't work... Regret that I pick this hotel, got to bear with it for 1 more night...
