Location of this hotel is very good. So we can rest easily every when we tired of seesighting and we can take a shower after that we can be refresh and go on touring. And breakfast- the kinds of food are not much- is good. One thing we want change is shampoo, it is hard to bubble. Most of all what makes us happy is the kindness of staff. Thank you.

Fantastic newish hotel in Prague centre very close to Old Town Square. The building is
old but has been completely renovated but many of the original features are maintained. The reception is in a glass covered courtyard and shows innovative use of space. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Bar/Restaurant looked quite busy. We never ate there but we tried to get a drink at the bar which proved a bit of a quest. Probably not enough bar/restaurant staff on I think. Anyway plenty of other places for eating and drinking in Prague. Room prices are still reasonable as is most of Prague in comparison to other major European cities - can't see that lasting.

Highly recommended.

Welcomed at the hotel with glass of bubbly. Our very large and comfortable room (202) was away from the main street and very peaceful. The hotel is spotlessly clean. All staff were friendly, professional and polite. Plenty of choice for hot or cold breakfast; very enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere. We were on half board basis which was very flexible with either lunch or evening meal included. The restaurant has the ambience of a high class establishment and with food to match, it also attracted none residents. The hotel is a short walk to the old town square along a narrow street with quaint shops and cafes/restaurants. Charles Bridge is also a short walk from here and then up the many steps to the castle. The hotel is also central for the new town. I can't think of a better location in Prague.
I would recommend the Prague card for visiting attractions as this will save money and is available from tourist information.
Prague Airport Transfers for taxi transfers were very reliable and reasonably priced (£37 return).

Room Tip: 202 was a junior suite away from the main street, very spacious, quiet and comfortable. Had bath wi...

We stayed at the Barcelo Old Town Praha recently (August 2013) for a few days and loved this hotel. We had a junior suite on the second floor. The suite was very large, modern, and spotless. A cot had been set up in the living room for our 3rd guest with extra towels on the bed on arrival. The suite has a small room with a toilet and sink near the entrance which is nice if you have extra people in the room since they don't need to go through the bedroom to use the bathroom. The main bathroom with a large sink and shower is off of the bedroom. We found the beds very comfortable based on our experience at other European hotels. The lobby was very large and had an expresso machine in it. There was also a room available off the lobby with a couch and 2 computers if you needed on-line access - but the hotel has wifi in the rooms as well. The breakfast area in the morning was quite large and the food selection was very good. There was an omelet station which was a nice touch. The location is just ideal as well - just a short walk to the main square. We were able to walk most places from the hotel. The staff speak very good English so we had no problems when asking for directions. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this hotel in Prague to anyone.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel in June 2013. The room was outstanding and just a 10 minute walk from the Astronomical Clock. The food in the hotel was excellent and we ate our evening meal in the dining room several times. The staff were very courteous and knowledgeable.

Room Tip: We liked our room that faced the street - was not noisy at night even though we were close to the sq...
