“Great Hotel and Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 February 2014 via mobile

Came to Prague for my wife's birthday and surprisingly received complimentary fizz, chocolates and cake. Check in early no issue and the hotel is very well managed and professional,I stay in hotels 40+ weeks per year in equivalent standard so can compare. I would not hesitate to return or recommend as the rooms are to a very high standard and large and very clean.

The hotel was beautiful, friendly service, and we were upgraded to a junior suite for no added cost!
Amazing stay in Prague. Right beside the old town and Christmas markets.
And after a day of exploring the sites in the chilly winter air, you are welcomed with a hot punch and a beautiful room with a luxurious double shower.
The staff were great, very helpful and organised our travel back to the airport, as well as helping us with directions to the best places to visit and sites to see.
We had a wonderful time. Thank you so much!

Room Tip: The junior suite is lush!

We stayed at the Barcelo 18th-21st Feb and had the most amazing time. The location was perfect - literally 10 minutes from all of the major sights. Despite being in the centre of things it was still really quiet at night.

The hotel was lovely, staff friendly and helpful and the room was huge (we got an upgrade to a 5th floor suite). As it was my husband's birthday he got a bottle of sparkling wine and chocolate cake! The breakfast was plentiful and of a good standard.

We aim to return to Prague in the not too distant future and will definitely stay at the Barcelo again.

My wife & I stayed here just before Christmas having read all the positive reviews on this site & I have to agree with the consensus that this hotel is absolutely superb throughout.

We were upgraded free of charge to an absolutely massive suite, probably one of the largest hotel rooms I have had the pleasure to stay in. The size of the room was matched by the size of the bed too, huge & extremely comfy. Breakfasts are quite an experience: all you can eat & very tasty aswell. They certainly set you up for a day of sighseeing in what is an absolutely beautiful city. The staff too are extremely polite & friendly & the location could not be bettered.

I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this hotel to anyone visiting Prague.

Stayed at this hotel 13th / 16th Feb 2014 found the hotel very comfortable clean and modern. The location could not be better. Breakfast is continental with a bit British on the side only criticism we have was that the tea and coffee was not toped up without asking on reception also the seem to be a bit mean with toiletries. But really that's a minor gripe we would stay again.

On 2014 Valentines Day and the weekend we stayed in this nice hotel.First of all the location is perfect and comparing most other cities on the World around is lively, shops are open till night 10 pm and even on sundays. The stuff in the hotel are friendly and kind.Rooms are designed well and clean and well heated.....With my husband we shared romance after 26 years which means it worked.....I must mention that breakfast was also satisfying with a good filter coffee.

This hotel is a great choice. The location is superb. We were upgraded to suite on the 4th floor and this room was huge. You don't get rooms this large very often in Europe. Sleep was very quiet and peaceful. The employees were all friendly. Weather is about the only thing to complain about. Prague can be brutally cold and unfortunately it stopped us from seeing more than we did. However it looks stunning with the snow. I would stay here again, just next time in the summer!
