The Buddha-bar hotel is the best hotel I had ever been I only travel to 5* hotels all around the world I had been in all the big names Sheraton, Intercontinental, Sangri-la, mandarin oriental, Hyatt named I have been there, anyway all of this hotels are great! But they just miss something and is the "wow!!!!" effect.

I will try to describe the hotel in the maximum detail I can.

The reception is unusual, normally I am used to find a huge reception desk, this is not the case in the Buddha-bar , the reception is an office desk with 2 laptops and 2 chairs for you to sit.

From the moment I enter the room I said wow!!!, I couldn`t believe the detail quality of the room the furniture details and the gadgets, a nice 42 inch plasma screen, 6 sound speakers on the ceiling, also a complete room lighting system where you can decide which inch of your room you want to be lit or nor, remote control curtains and blinds and 2 mini bars plus the typical super king size bed with a huge picture of a oriental red dragon at the back.

the bathroom and the toilet are separated, the bathroom has a oval bath on the middle of the room looking toward a mirror that with the click of your remote control become you bathroom TV also you have a double size shower.

The toilet looks normal until you use it, the toilet has a cleaning system that will help you to ... well you will have to go there to know it. But be prepare because once you used you will don’t know how did you live without it and my wife is pushing me to buy one for home.

The hotel have 2 restaurant-bars, the first one is the hotel bar, a big bar with about 20 tables for food and very relaxing feeling , offers all kind of drinks and the food will be served 24 hours a day (your breakfast will be here) the other restaurant is the Buddha-bar restaurant is open to anyone on the street have 2 levels, the first level is a high class bar, and the ground level is the restaurant serving Japan, China and Asiatic dishes, the restaurant is not cheap but the quality of the dishes are superb and nothing of contemporary dishes like in other places that after you paid, you have spend a fortune and you are still starving like crazy for the nearest fast food joint, the dishes are big size meaning that with a starter and main course you will be fill up, the restaurant is poorly lit meaning that is very intimate and personal and the light come from candles on the table. The only view from any part of the restaurant is a huge statue of Buddha in gold that dominate the room.

The service was excellent, they help with any query! The room was always perfect, made up during the day and ready for bed at night, the bar staff were friendly and they like to talk to you but without losing the barrier between customers and staff. The restaurant staffs were very professional always caring and quick.

The location is great looking at the map, this may look like a bit of a walk, but far from that the hotel is situated in a back street of the town square, from the hotel to the old town square (the centre of Prague) is virtually 2 minutes and 36 seconds by my watch.

In resume if you looking for an experience that you will remember for life, then the Buddha-bar is the place to stay, but also have in mind is not a cheap hotel all this quality and luxury come to a price, and I do understand this! I did get an offer of stay 2 nights and get 3rd night free thanks to this offer the value for money was out of this world for me. But if you looking to visit Prague for as little as possible then carry on looking but I am sorry to say that Prague isn’t a cheap city anymore.

A really unique hotel. First trip to Prague and spent ages deciding on a hotel. Finally decided to go for something modern rather than traditional. Very impressive hotel with modern and large bathrooms, stunning bedroom decor and an exceptional ambiance. Staff could not have been more helpful, even to the degree of going to purchase tickets and escorting us to venues. location was great, about 3 minutes walk to the main square. Staying at this hotel was a real treat and would love to go back one day.

Recently returned from 3 days at the Buddha Bar Hotel and felt compelled to write a review. Overall the hotel was wonderful. I've stayed in hotels all over the world and this was among the best. Stunning yet comfortable rooms with especially large bathrooms. Wonderful amenities in the rooms from the robes & slippers to the bath products to the coffee. Excellent service from the staff. They responded to every request immediately and with full attention. I needed a cash machine and they had someone actually WALK me to the nearest one. They found me some great guides for a walking tour and made restaurant recommendations and reservations for me each night. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the Old Town square. I highly recommend this hotel for your next visit to Prague!!

From the moment we arrived at the door, our enchanting Buddha bar hotel experience began. The Buddha-bar’s own calming music was playing in the background; smiling staff warmly invited us to sit and chatted to us about Prague as we completed the obligatory forms. We were offered an introductory cocktail, and then given a guided tour of the hotel and our room. We swished up in the glass lift (you have to use your high tech room key to gain access) and turned into the dimly lit corridor, where the room numbers were lit up by spotlight. Ours was a standard room, but it had its own entrance hall leading off into a roomy bedroom, the bathroom (two sinks, huge bath specially designed for the Buddha bar hotel, and separate shower) and the separate WC (with its own sink). The king size bed was comfortable, and it was wonderful to throw oneself back on the huge fluffy pillows and relax watching the huge Bang and Olufsen TV hanging on the wall.
As other writers have observed, the hotel rooms were high tech (it took me a day to work out how to operate the panel of switches by the bed and in the bathroom) and no detail was spared. At the end of every afternoon, towels were newly straightened, and a tray was left on the bed with a “pillow menu”, small chocolates, an orchid and the weather forecast for the next three days. There was a complimentary espresso coffee machine, and mini-bar, comprising two huge refrigerated drawers.
The fitness centre/ Jacuzzi/ steam room was not large, but equipped with the most up to date equipment as well as free weights and a Swiss ball (hint; bring your ipod to plug into the equipment, or at least your earphones, and you can watch your own TV while jogging/ cycling or stepping). There were also as a complimentary water bar and towels in the air-conditioned room.
There are two restaurants; the Buddha bar (which we didn’t try, although the menu looked good) and the Siddharta café. We had breakfast in this café every morning; it wasn’t included in our room rate, and was a little pricey, but worth it for the quality of the service (not quick, but so friendly), food and the ambience. There was no buffet; instead we chose breakfast a la carte (my plate of fresh fruit, yoghurt, and basket of bread/croissants were wonderful). We had lunch in the café once, slightly more expensive than central Prague but high quality and a relaxing atmosphere.
Finally, I must mention the staff. From their first welcome, to their last goodbye, nothing was ever too much for them. Need a list of jazz bars? A taxi? A computer? No problem. Every morning, they stood up to greet us, always cheerful, always helpful, but not obsequious and never obtrusive. More than anything, it was the personalised and professional attitude of all the staff that made this hotel such high quality.
The Buddha bar hotel is situated in the centre of old Prague; about five minutes walk from the Main Square and no more than ten minutes from Charles Bridge. Near enough to enjoy everything Prague has to offer, far enough to escape the huge crowds thronging through the streets at all hours. We will go back as soon as we can.

We have been to many fine hotels around the world and also been to Buddha Bar in London and Paris. We love the whole Buddha Bar concept but this did not prepare us for the Buddha Bar Hotel. The hotel opened earlier this year and it must have cost a small fortune to fit out. Nothing has been skimped on - everything is top class and the attention to detail is amazing.

The staff are brilliant, from the moment you arrive til the sad moment you leave, nothing is too much hassle for them.

Apparently the hotel is only current 30 to 50% full, but this will change quickly as word spreads. We have one of the top 2 suites which had a living area with B&O plasma TV, huge bed with another B&O plasma TV, bathroom with jacuzzi bath with multi coloured lighting and another TV in the mirror and with his and hers basins, separate shower room with huge rain forest shower head, 2 toilets (both with fixtures that wash your bits when you've finished). The curtains all close from a remote control, the lighting is amazing. I cannot fault the room at all.

The Buddha Bar itself is the same layout as the london and Paris ones - just on a smaller scale. The food is great. After dinner a DJ takes over and this is my only small criticism - you could hear the bass in the early hours in our room.

We booked a romantic getaway at the last minute and I can whole heartedly recommend this package. It included an inroom massage which was amazing.
