Our tour guide from Segway tours recommended this restaurant when we asked where we should eat to try traditional Czech cuisine.
A lot of locals eat here and it is off the tourist track at the end of a steep street.
Great food and service, even free wifi. In fact we returned the following night it was so good.

Thank Karen M

Went there for dinner with the family. Very un-touristy, which is good, and very informal and low key place. We were quickly seated, and service was good, without being intrusive. We got no sense of the restaurant scams you read about in the guide books, such as pushing bread and extras on you, without you realizing the adding costs. At this restaurant/pub, it was quick service, great beer, and good food.....all at very good prices. I would definitely return. Typical Czech cuisine, with lots of locals eating there, so that says a lot.

The goat cheese/beet appetizer was acceptable, the chicken with mashed potatoes and carrots o.k. (but carrots were missing). The roast half duck was not fatty so it was acceptable but the best part was the cooked cabbage side (actually under). Definitely mostly typical average local fare.

My friend recommended me this restaurant, and I can only agree with her. I had Pork tenderloin with potatoes and parmezan cheese and I can highly recommend you that meal.
