“Unusual Afghan restaurant”
Reviewed 15 September 2013

We picked this as it was just up the road from our hotel, and we like trying new cuisines. It didn't disappoint. It is small and cosy, with rugs to sit on. The menu is in Czech and English, there was only one waitress and she didn't speak any English, but we didn't mind, even though we ordered rose wine and she brought red. The food was simple and delicious, spicy rather than hot, although look out for the chutney! The cardomum tea after the meal was a pleasant new experience An inexpensive and different place to eat out in Prague.

“Tali-brilliant!”
Reviewed 12 September 2013

We visited here on a recommendation and were blown away by the food. From the outside this place is not the most inviting and can easily be mistaken for a cafe. The fact that when we visited on a Saturday evening and it was empty made us a little apprehensive. Fortunately, we braved it and I have to say we had a fantastic meal. I opted for the Lamb chops, whilst my Girlfriend ordered a Beef kebab. We accompanied the dishes with rice and chips. The chops were out of this world, very tender and seasoned to perfection. Even the accompaniments were well season and complimented the dishes to perfection. The gentleman who served us was polite and attentive when it came to topping up our Pivo's. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant for those visiting Prague.

“Best meal in Prague”
Reviewed 28 August 2013 via mobile

Found this place via our lonely planet guide after fancying something different from Czech food. Turns out to be the best meal we had whilst in Prague! Great selection of meat and vegetarian meals that are reasonably priced. Lots of kebab/meat ball type dishes all really fresh tasting with plenty of spices. Waitress was friendly although spoke no English but that made the experience all the more authentic. Cosy and welcoming environment. Highly recommended!

“Good food”
Reviewed 6 August 2013 via mobile

Had a late lunch here and it was lovely and cool inside the restaurant. We had a stuffed pocket and potato dumplings stuffed with lamb and aubergines both of which were fantastic. The owner was quite friendly and it was good value, costing ~500kc for two mains and 2 drinks.

“Good traditional food”
Reviewed 20 July 2013 via mobile

We ate here on the recommendation of a friend. It was warm so we sat in the garden out the back. Sadly we were the only ones here, hence the 3 for atmosphere. We both chose the meatballs which were tasty and well presented in a cast iron pan, and had the afghani bread to share also. The gentleman serving us had limited English but was polite.
