After a promising start, polite reception staff, clean comfortable hotel room it went downhill as regards the customer service.
Breakfast Sunday morning was a bit of a joke (I would agree with other reviews I have read on here) no tables free, staff didnt care, when we did get a table, sometime after we had arrived downstairs and only after complaining a few times, it was tricky to get round all the people at the buffet style breakfast. This situation was better on Monday, so I presume its only the weekends where they are so overwhelmed. There was also a good selction of breakfast things and plenty to go round so thats a plus point!!
However we decided to treat ourselves to room service breakfast on the last day of our stay, at a substantial extra cost, and when it arrived it was stone cold and half the requsted items missing! We managed to get it taken off our bill.
Another disappointment during our stay was the fact that they were refitting the bathrooms on the floor below us (without warning us) and seemed to believe that it was acceptable to commence the drilling and banging from 8 in the morning!!
So the hotel let itself down in my opinion with poor customer service. I would expect better from a 5 star hotel and wouldnt stay here again despite its good location and appearance.More
