“Great collection”
Reviewed 28 September 2013

Museum about the Postal history, as well as on dispaly collections of Czech and foreign stamps (760 m2 surface and +600 objects). The house itself, a former watermill, has one of the most beautiful interiors in this area, as "friend" Josef Navratil painted murals in 4 rooms depicting historic legends, all of this can be admired on top of the museum itself. Does it get better than this?

“Small but beautiful museum”
Reviewed 10 August 2013

This small museum has its main exhibition of postage stamps on the ground floor, which is interesting. They have on display some of the dies that are used for printing stamps, plus a collection of stamps from around the world dating back over 100 years.

The second floor is more interesting for its beautiful walls paintings that encompass almost every room. These were painted starting in 1847 by the famous Czech painter Josef Navrátil. This museum is small but not expensive, and will take about an hour to go thru. Its worth the visit just to see the beautiful walls, instead of the stamps.

“A hidden gem”
Reviewed 24 August 2012

Not only does this little museum have a wonderful collections postal history, the building itself is like a little palace and well worth the 50CZK entrance. The older staff speak no English but still did their best to communicate some of the more interesting things in this old house.

“Little museum full of curiosities and interesting items”
Reviewed 25 August 2011

We visited the museum because an Hungarian guidebook recommended it. It is placed in a art nouvea building whose stairs and gate are really beautiful. The museum is full of interesting (and working!!!) items. One of the women working there was very nice to us and showed to us the most interesting items. She even switched on some devices like teletypes, air tubes, etc. to demonstrate how they work.

Very very kind people there. And a very quiet and nice museum.
