“A good choice hotel for Prague”
Reviewed 9 December 2013

We did not specifically choose this hotel as it was an offer from Avios but we were not disappointed. Advertised as a 'stones throw from the Charles Bridge' but you would have needed a very strong catapult to achieve this feat! It was approx. 15 mins brisk walk away from Charles Bridge but we found this good exercise and you could walk by the river and through the smaller streets to get there. In addition a nearer bridge led you up to other parts of the city. For those not wishing to walk the tram service ran within 200m of the hotel.
The hotel was converted in 2009 and is a boutique type hotel with only a small public area on entrance. Our room was a good size with a separate small sitting area and a well equipped shower room. Furnishings were in excellent order and tea / coffee facilities were available in room. We were at the rear of the hotel on the 3rd floor which was very quiet. Breakfast is served in a room on the lower ground floor and a good selection was available for the continental type breakfast with a small choice of hot food. There is also a bar lounge area for drinks on the ground floor. Staff throughout were very friendly and helpful. Recommended.

We stayed here last week from 1st to 4th December, staff were very helpful, lifts up to all floors, our room was upgraded on arrival and we were very impressed with it, super king bed with separate duvets so no fighting over duvets! Bathroom was large with shower and bath, warm towel rail and supply of towels, our room overlooked the beautiful gardens opposite. Breakfast was a good assortment something to please all tastes. One of the best things for us was that it was very easy to walk into the main attractions of Prague, with the aid of a city map you could walk everywhere, it took no more than 20mins to get to Old a Town Sq., a very easy walk along the river. The only thing we said it lacked was snacks, after a long and tiring day sightseeing it would have been great to flop in the bar and get a sandwich or something but there was plenty of cafés/restaurants nearby.

Clean and comfortable hotel with a short walk to the centre. The staff were friendly and were very helpful. Breakfast was better than i expected for a continental type. All in all, very happy and would book there again on our next trip to Prague

Had an excellent stay in this hotel. Location was spot on, 15 minute walk to Charles Bridge and within walking distance to the main attractions. We were given a room upgrade which was a lovely surprise and ended up with a large blue room. The room far exceeded our expectations, was very clean, modern and warm, which was great after a day walking around 'cool' Prague. Service was spot on, all the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was satisfying and no complaints. We did book return airport transfers through the hotel and, again, cannot praise this service too highly. The hotel was some distance from the airport, approx 20 minutes drive and arriving at night, and being our first time in Prague, we felt very at ease with the transfer service. We cannot recommend this hotel too highly and hope to return again soon. As a footnote, we would recommend a Czech restaurant we found close to the hotel, 5 minute walk away. Vidlicky A Noze , Vodni 11. Favoured by the locals, great food, cheap with large portions and great staff too. We were so impressed we choose to eat there each night of our stay.

Just returned from a city break in Prague. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. All staff are courteous and go above and beyond to help. The rooms are large, clean and come just as pictured on the website. Great location near Petrin Hill and not far from the Infant Jesus of Prague as well as the Charles Bridge. Great variety of breakfast choices and

For nyhose who didn't know, Praha still allows smoking in hotels, bars and even restaurants. We were pleased to find out that the whole site of red & blue was smoke-free! The hotel has above-average quality & service, compared with Praha standards. Breakfast was good, location and service also positive.
