i'm still in awe of how great the staff at Mosiac House are...there are also some great places near the hostel to go out to for drinks. Prague is small, and not being RIGHT in the center (still only a 10min walk away to the Old Town Sq) really works for this place, as the bars nearby are really a mix of places for locals and expats living in Prague. But no matter how nice and clean and new this hostel is, the people at the reception desk is what made me want to write this review.

The location is fabulous! Extremely friendly & helpful staff, always willing to advised or simply point you in the right direction. This is great location, walkable to most tourist spots if not all ie, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, Prague Castle and many more. As this being my first Hostel experience, I'm afraid that The Mosaic House has ruined me for my next journey of Hostelling. Many thanks to Dave, the Managers, Rosta and a host of other staff members who made my stay not only memorable, but comfortable as well.

Room Tip: Treat yourself to a single rm for a night

As someone who travels a lot on business I was extremely uncertain about staying in the Mosaic House because it is a high end hotel combined with a youth hostel with eight or more beds per room. I stayed in a very nice room for about 80 Euros. I am irritated by most hotel design and the Mosaic House was a very pleasant surprise--unusually clever in its use of tiles (check out the shower drain) and its solution to the chronic problem of no natural light in the bathroom. The bar downstairs was also pretty interesting, with a strange mix of young backpackers and decrepit old duffers like me (I am in my fifties). In sum, the Mosaic House is different in a good way, the opposite of a boring chain hotel.

Mosaic House is nothing short of outstanding. It has all the appeal of a 4 star hotel with the social aspect of a international hostel. We booked a double bed room with en-suite.

All the services and amenities in the hotel are nothing short of fantastic. Breakfast, dinner and beverages can all be consumed downstairs in the lovely restaurant facility with affordable prices. There's also a great free (with a small tip) Sandelands tour of Prague that starts off in the Lobby each morning at 10:30am. Wifi is a free offering with blazing bandwidth speeds.

The bedroom is spacious and comfortable. We had no issues moving around or finding space for our clothes and suitcase. The taps, shower and toilet are straight out of a 5 star hotel and are some of the best i've ever used.

The hostel is situated within 20 minutes of the town square, close to Louvre cafe and to the nearest metro station (about 3 mins walk)

Room Tip: Book breakfast at check in for a 20kn discount.

The dorm room at this stylish hostel was clean, although small but well laid-out, in three sets of bunk beds. There was an attached bathroom with nice shower. The problem I had when I stayed there was the shower was not draining very well. Personally I was not a fan of attached bathroom as everyone took much longer to get ready when they had more privacy. The lobby bar was comfortable and the breakfast was impressive (not complimentary), since it catered to its 4-star hotel guests as well. The staffs were well-versed in English and helpful and check-in was very efficient. The hostel/hotel was well located just outside the old town centre but close enough with public transportation. This hostel is more expensive than other Prague hostels but overall I would recommend this place.

This is our second time staying at Mosaic House, and it certainly didn't disappoint. We've traveled to Prague numerous times, and what really sets Mosaic House apart from the rest is the service. The staff are so, so friendly and accommodating - most notably the front desk staff. While we were there, they were hosting Fringe Festival which meant socializing-aplenty with people from around the world at Belushi's - their sports bar/restaurant. Also, Mosaic House runs a pub crawl/bar hop every night - make sure to take advantage of this - especially if you're traveling solo. It's a great way to meet people and check out some of Prague's nightlife. The only stay-hiccups we encountered were somewhat spotty wifi and bar staff service, but the good in our stay far outweighed these small things, and we'll definitely stay again next time we're in Prague. Thanks for a beyond-amazing stay, guys! Hope to see you again soon.

This is by far the best hostel I have ever stayed in! Beautiful and very modern reception, pristine clean, beautiful rooms and washrooms, excellent, fun and very popular bar with great food, great drinks and three different kinds of happy hours! It is trully fantastic! It is like a five star hotel filled with young and fun people! Definitively recomend it!
