I was a bit worried that it was both a hostel and a hotel, I thought it might be noisy and not as good as it 'looked', but Mosaic House is fantastic.
There was no noise from the lively bar area in our room (5th floor). The breakfast was pretty decent and the staff were really helpful. Our room was stunning for the price and the whole hotel operates in an energy efficient way, with heating and cooling intelligently controlled, which is always a bonus. The bathroom was immaculate, with a walk-in shower in a wet-room type format.
Location is great, just south of the old city limits. Its easy to walk into the city in about 10-15 minutes. A few trams pass by which can get you near to places like the central station. Public transport within Prague is *excellent* and cheap. By contrast, taxis are notorious for overcharging, so be careful with those. Taxi drivers a required by law to give you a signed receipt if you ask for one. If you think you've been ripped off, do ask.
As for Mosaic House, it was fantastic.

This was the first hostel I've ever stayed in and every one I've visited since has not lived up to Mosaic House! I was so pleasantly surprised when we arrived - check in was quick and staff were very efficient and friendly. Rooms were simple but very clean and the bathrooms were better than some hotels I've stayed in with huge glass walled 'rainforest' showers, tiled floors and mosaic walls. The bar downstairs was great - really lively, reasonably priced and a great place to meet people. Regular bar crawls go from here every night which are a blast. OVerall, a really great place to stay, it made my visit to Prague even more memorable!

Stayed here after leaving Chili Hostel because of poor service and the price difference wasnt that bad! Lovely hotel, modern, clean and well staffed. Would definitely stay here again. Belushis was a treat as well...

My wife and I had a great experience here, the first of our destinations on our honeymoon. While the bar / cafe / restaurant downstairs definitely has more of a young, backpacker crowd (it is a meeting point for a pub crawl, for example), the top-floor room my wife and I got was wonderful. The "green" elements to this hotel also added to the atmosphere and experience, and was my favorite part of our stay, followed closely by the room's decor', the quality of the free breakfast, and the view our room had from the balcony.

Room Tip: Ask about balcony rooms, and you may consider avoiding floors that have dorm-style rooms with a lot...

I stayed in the St. Christophers Hostel section of the Mosaic House and was amazed at just how nice it was. It was clean, great rooms, great atmosphere and the staff were all so helpful! It's in a great location and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.
Recommendation: drink absinthe shots from the bar downstairs, it's definitely worth it :)
Also, go on a walking tour, they are a great way to see the city!

Room Tip: We stayed in a four bedroom private dorm, but all rooms appeared to be of the highest quality
