Stayed for 5 nights in a 4 bed dorm at Mosaic. Very clean, huge place, great rooms. Bathrooms were new and it really felt more like a hotel. The restaurant/bar is great if you're up for meeting people, and we found the food quality to be really good (although you can get a traditional feed for cheaper elsewhere). Staff were really helpful with advice on things to do around town. Location - not bad, about equal distances between the centres of the old town new town.

We were probably after something a little quieter, with its own kitchen so if this sounds like you then maybe Mosaic isn't the place (although we still enjoyed our stay).

But if you want to party and meet other travelers then this place is perfect.

We were very surprised by this hotel from the beginning. The price was very low so we didnt expect anything special. The only advantage seemed to be the close distance to city center. The rooms were great, clean and spacy. The design was nice as well! We can recommend without any hesitation.

Room Tip: Not on first floor, a bit noisy

The first thing I thought when I walked in here was "woah!". The downstairs is a huge bar, with a restaurant and other little rooms off too the sides. It's HUGE. It was a big party when my friend and I checked in on a Tuesday night. We had looked on hostel world, that said there was tons of availability (but, shocker there was hardly any because that website is awful!) but had a bit of trouble when we got there, so definitely book in advance, through the MOASIC website, NOT hostelworld. The guy was really great in working with us though, we had to stay in two different rooms the first night but we were able to move into the same one the second night. Once you go up the stairs, it is like a freaking hotel. Everything was really clean, new, and somehow quiet despite the party downstairs (I was on the 2nd floor). The beds were down with down pillows! The showers were AMAZING. You can pay like 3 euros for an all you can eat, delicious, buffet breakfast. It really was the nicest hostel I've ever stayed in, with my 17 countries and countless cities. It is also in a really great location. There is a tram stop right around the corner and many things are within walking distance. I left my adapter there and emailed them about it to see if they would mail it to me, but I never received a response back from them - which is the only reason they don't get five stars from me. Even if they don't have it still, they could have at least responded to my email. Minor detail though, since the stay itself was wonderful.

Room Tip: Maybe don't stay on the 1st floor, as the bar downstairs was a bit loud. I was on the 2nd floor...

We stayed here for 3 nights in October. The reason why we chose this place was that we got 50% off the stay for having our previous stay in another St. Christophers cancelled.
One really cool thing they had was the communal toilets down stairs; they played sort sort of learn Czech tape over and over and it they were also immaculately clean.
We had a 4 bed dorm with an ensuite located on the second floor. We could still hear the music from the bar downstairs, I could imagine it being hell if you were located on the 1st floor.
There is no kitchen and you have to pay to use the internet - there is free wifi however.
You cannot bring your own alcohol into the hostel either!
The hostels bar prices could be better, they were charging 50 CZK for a pint of Pilsner Urquell - around the same area you could get it for about 35-40 and the meals there weren't that great either.
Location wise it's pretty good. About 15 minutes walk into the old town and almost the same for Charles Bridge.

I read good reviews here and decided to book this hotel. I am sorry for that. Beware that on the first floor there is a loud bar and you probably would not like to stay near it. One evening after returning from a nice dinner at a restaurant in a relaxing atmosphere we heard "Du hast" by Rammstein throughout the first 3 floors. The towels were not changed every day, the design is pretentious but things are not convenient to use: I could not tune the right temperature in the shower, for example. The room was small, the view lousy and the hotel too pricey. Stay away from this hotel and find something cheaper and better. I travel a lot around Europe and I have seen plenty of better 2 and 3 star hotels. I will not return and would not advise to stay at this hotel to my friends.

Great location, amazing clean and modern rooms, good service, perfect place to meet people, nice bar, fantastic pillows, and really just a good break from your average hostel. The Mosaic house is really all you could ask for as a traveler.
