“Party hostel, good location, clean”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

Mosaic House is the place to be if you're looking to party. The lobby bar was always packed with people, dancing and loud music. Drinks and food are decently priced. French fries were amazing! Music was always fun - 80s/90s or dance. Very clean lobby. Stayed in a 26 bed, all female dorm. Dorm was suprisingly clean for having 26 girls in it. Each bed had a lock drawer under it (need your own lock), a plug and a personal light. Staff smoked outside the door to the room though and left it open so our entire room stunk of smoke the entire time. It was disgusting. Only 3 toilets and 3 showers for 26 girls. The water kind of smelled in the sinks. Think someone may have puked in them though. Mosaic House is in a good location. 15 minute walk to Charles Bridge and the 5 story night club.

Room Tip: The top bunks near the back of the 26 bed, all female dorm have a personal light but it doesn't...

This place redefines the meaning of a hostel. Having a restaurant/bar/lounge & rooms (bathrooms) comparable to a nice hotel.
The beds are comfy however climbing onto the top bunk is quite difficult.
The staff are very helpful, food is delicious (though drinks, not so great)
It's clean, spacious, & modern -high recommend it
Thanks!

I loved Mosaic House! We stayed in the "hotel" part, and booked a terraced room (all terraced rooms are up on the top floor). We didn't hear a thing from the bar downstairs. It was fun having a young crowd of people staying at the hotel, as we are in our late 20's and early 30's.

Reception was extremely helpful and friendly. I needed to use their phone to call about a late airport shuttle and they didn't bat an eye, even dialing the number for me and making sure we were all sorted.

The food was also very good at breakfast. I probably ate too many croissants, but they were amazing! Also, we enjoyed a couple drinks at the bar, which were inexpensive and very good.

We liked the location- it's only a couple blocks from the river and is in New Town. There are trams and metros all around the hotel which take you wherever you need to go, but we actually walked everywhere.

Also, the furnishings in the room were great. We even had robes and slippers. It has its own air conditioning which is handy. Everything was very clean and modern.

I would recommend this for younger travelers for sure, although there were some older couples as well.

We loved the free walking tour we took, which left from the lobby. It was very convenient to just show up at 10:30, and we learned a lot! I guess they do that every day.

I could go on and on but to sum it up, we would definitely recommend staying at Mosaic House!

Room Tip: The rooms with a terrace are on the top. You don't hear any noise if you choose a terraced room...

I would have given this place a good review anyway, because the staff were just really nice and efficient too, but then they upgraded us to the penthouse suite, which was fabulous and had amazing views over the city! The room and facilities were excellent, wi-fi was free and effective. Breakfast was good, with added entertainment from the youths who had apparently come straight from party to breakfast.

Secure bicycle storage was arranged by helpful staff. Thanks.

If you know my other reviews you would know I'm brutally honest. The place Is gorgeous, spotless if you will. Check out was pretty smooth sailing. It's a fun place great atmosphere. But it's like a surf and turf deal at a restaurant, you know what I mean when you order a steak and lobster on a surf and turf both of them are just okay, but if you get then separately they are delicious!! Well this Is kinda the same thing... When people or places try to be two or even three different things it almost never works out. Stick to one thing and make it perfect... Too many elements here, but, Besides that, it's a great place... However the "common room" or lounge, whatever it is, its a bar and the music is super loud making it pretty difficult to meet ppl. They have rooms as well and those are gorgeous! I would go back but would stay as a hotel guest not a hostel...

Whilst on a European roadtrip, my friend and I had planned a two night stay in Prague. Prague seemed a lot cheaper than anywhere else we had stayed in Europe and as it is known as a 'stag-do location' we didn't set our sights too high on our hostel stay. We were so wrong...Mosaic Hostel really does blur the lines between hostel and a boutique hotel. Its absolutely stunning.

The outside and the communal reception and bar are all designed to look very swanky. We were greeted by a very friendly and cute guy at the reception. He gave us directions as to where we needed to park our car (which was a little on the pricey side but considering how cheap the hostel was it didn't really matter).

The hostel bar was really lively but not out of control. We had opted to stay in a 26 bed dorm. The biggest I've ever stayed in so we were a bit skeptical as to how it would be but it was absolutely fine. The beds were tucked away in small alcoves so it didn't feel too packed in and everyone was really respectful of noise and belongings. Each bunk had two lockers underneath and the room had access to toilets and showers which never seemed to be too busy.

The only downfall was that on our second night we had planned to have dinner and drinks in the hostel bar but there was a launch party for Czech Republics version of The Voice so we werent allowed to go in. This is fine except it would have been nice to have been informed about it by the staff. Instead the lady at reception gave us some directions to a restaurant near by and some cool bars which were fun.

I definitely would recommend this hostel. Its really great, friendly staff, good location (on a map it looks further out of the center than it is to walk), excellent atmosphere, and comfortable rooms.

Found the staff to be very friendly and helpful with anything we asked, very welcoming upon check in.
Our double room was good size, clean and comfortable and the balcony view over Prague was awesome.
Breakfast was good had a nice selection.
Very busy hotel with a lot of younger people staying as it was also like a hostel but was recommended to us and we would certainly recommend it as well.
