I was in Prague and stayed in the Volcano hotel. It is only 15 min driving from the city center by Taxi. You can also use public transport but that is not that easy. The staff of the hotel in the lobby and at breakfast is very nice and helpful. The hotel is clean, rooms are perfect and the wifi is good. If you like Gym, you are at the right place.

The hotel itself is modern with a very friendly staff. It is far from the city center (30-40 minutes with bus and metro or 15-20 minutes by car) but ideal for a romantic hideaway. :) The spa is not too big, but nice.
The rooms are clean, but lack of cosy atmosphere. There is also a TV in the room, but no English channels (we have not found even CNN or BBC).
Food in the restaurant is okay, breakfast ,however, was quite poor (especially compared to the advised "rich buffet") - only a few slices of ham, rolls directly from the refrigerator, some cheese and that's it. But the served coffee was very good.

I've stayed at the Volcano now a few times for business. First, the restaurant is amazingly good Italian food, if you don't mind the wait.

The Volcano's staff are always friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice, enough room to not feel claustrophobic. Would be nice if there were more channels on the TV (1 English one, CNN!). The bed though is two beds pushed together to make a big King size. This is great and all but I always end up in the middle of the 2, sinking! And the comforter that comes with the bed is tiny, have to wrap it around me carefully to get warm.

Internet coverage is spotty. Move 5 feet and there's a different WiFi connection you need (why not mesh them together!).

Location's not bad, quick walk to the metro and you're downtown in 15 minutes

We stay in this hotel for weekend. Very nice landscape, new hotel, clean room, common places and near subway stations. We have breafast, but if went after 9.00 they don´t have all offer. Rastaurants have poor menu and missing bar. But if you want stay in Prague several days visiting places this hotel is good select.

We used this hotel with my husband for weekend getaway. The location is quite far away from downtown, but we did know that and used public transport to the city center , which is quite easy (3 minutes to the neares bus stop, 10 minutes to the metro station). The advantage of the location is calm place and room view over the park and also free car park. The room was fine, but we missed some details. The shower was broken, the shower gel jar empty and hotel service didn´t pay attention to this at all. The towels were slightly smelly. The weakest point of the stay was the breakfast. Advised "rich breakfast buffet" would more fit to some very ordinary 3 stars hotel. There was very basic choice of cheap ham and fatty sausages. Due to this we rather didn´t try the restaurant. Overall summary - for the full price the hotel is overpriced and you can definitely get better service somwhere else. As we paid special discount price, the accomodation was corresponding to price 50 EUR per night but than the service is not in accordance with 4 stars.
