This was our favourite pub and restaurant in Prague since we discovered it four years ago and every year we ate and drunk here several times, when we were in prague. but this time we were disappointed, because the staff was unfriendly and desinterested when we made a reservation for the evening. it seems to me, like tourists are not welcomed.
After we get the bill, the waiter who stand behind the bar billed us a service charge of
10 %, which we never paid before in the previous years.
It´was our last time there, because it seems to be a tourist trap as dicussed on serveral websites.

This restaurant it just a short walk from St. Nicolas Church and an even shorter walk from the castle. It is a little further on the street and not many tourist shops are around it so it is more of a "local" place. The food was excellent, portions were too big (but who complains about that!), service was great! The restaurant does not accept credit cards but they accepted Euro from us and gave us the exchange rate of 22 (which was the same as the current exchange). Atmosphere is great with all the pictures from the world. The price you see is the price you pay!!

GREAT!!

This is my favorite restaurant/bar in Prague!
We were lucky some one from our hotel told us about this place, it has great atmosphere, cheap yet excellent food, great bear, free wifi, friendly staff, even interesting art works.
We've tried a few other places, but this one is "The Best"!!

The cafe has great.local ambience which is unique, staff frienly but the food is crap. Change the cook and it will be a gem among the cafes in this area.

We had so much fun at this little local pub! It is located on the street with the big hill on your way to the castle. It also happenend to be a couple of doors down from our hotel, so we stopped here on our way back almost every night. We appeared to be the only travellers there, and enjoyed talking with (or trying to talk with!) the locals. The food was mostly traditional Czech, tasted good and was value priced. A couple of nights there was even live music in the back room. The bartender was great; he taught us some Czech and made us feel welcome. it did get very smokey some nights, but if you can deal with the smoke it was a great place to have some good beer, good food and good conversation with th locals.
