Residence Meridiana
Ranked #269 of 675 Speciality Lodging in Prague
Reviewed 27 April 2012

On our budget holiday we wanted somewhere cheap, that had a kitchen so we could cook, and not too far from the city. This apartment was all those things. The kitchen itself is nice and new, and had enough utensils- a little bit lacking in pots and pans, and no mircowave, but we got by. The decor didn't make us go 'Wow' but it was clean and spacious. The bed was a little hard and as for the bathroom, you had to hold the shower head to take a shower and there was no shower curtain or anything. But hot water the whole time so that was good.
The owner was super nice, but didnt speak much english at all- we spoke via google translate on his computer!
The area is nice, about 5 minutes walk to the metro stop or 30 minute walk into town which we did one day, its easy to find your way.
From the balcony we spotted a staircase climbing up the nearby hill, so one morning we decided to find where it led and walk up there, and to our pleasant surprise there was lovely walking tracks and views, and a road that led to the National Memorial. Really worth going up there!
So if you can settle for an average, budget friendly apartment, a little bit out of the city, its worth considering this place.

With only 40 Euro/day, I was expecting something that you typically find with budget hotel: peeling wall papers, smelling ally or dirty carpet. I was pleasantly shocked: Really? Two bathroom, with shower tub? Very spacious, big and bright bedroom. Full Kitchen and yes, wait until I see the living room with sliding door to the fabulous hugh patio. Wow. The top floor unit gives me the view of roof top and miles away.

The apartment is clean and quiet. Wi-fi is reliable. not much TV channel but I don't really care about watching TV anyway.

Location of the apartment is not the best, but only 2 blocks away from the metro.

there is also a modern elevator in the building.

I wish they had microwave in the kitchen, that'd be perfect. They do have a washer in one of bathrooms, but the door latch of the washer is broken, so I can't really open and use it.

In general, with the money I paid for the apartment, this is great deal.
