This is in a good position between our hotel and the Old Town Square. Good food and a good atmosphere, excellent service - thoroughly recommended if you fancy a change from Cxech food!

As it was raining we did not want to walk too far so we odd try this lace. The waiters where very friendly as we asked to thane the table twice due to the very high heat from the overhead heaters. Once we where seated the waiter was still superb joking with us all the time. The food came and all 4 of us had different items but nothing special. The Pizza, the Pasta average. There are so many places that serve very good food in this area so that we did not Bo back during our weeks stop.

We stumbled across Vabene on our last night in Prague when looking for something light to eat after sampling lots of the Czech staple dishes. Vabene is in Tyn Square and can be reached by a passageway from Old Town Square; it is also under the Metamorphis Hotel.
We chose pasta and really enjoyed our meals. For dessert we had the Pannacotta and the Tiramasu and both were delicious, the best we had ever tasted. We also had a bottle of the Czech White wine and it was superb - Laithewaites take note!
Service was pleasant and attentive and overall we felt we had excellent value for money at under £40 with a generous tip.
We returned to Vabene the next day to try their Czech dishes before our flight home - we were not disappointed and thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Just got back to the hotel after a visit to this restaurant. Prices are rather low but value for money depends on what you eat. Pizza, fine. Gulasch, maybe. Pasta, no way. Food tasted good but way to small servings. The staff were stressed but friendly though. I prefer to walk 10-15 min over the river and visist Ristorante Carmelita instead, that is pure class compared to this. But if you want an okay choice in a central location, try this, but do not expect too much
