The Prague Castle Hotel ist a good one on the Castle Hill. The rooms of course are not to big because this was a monastery and so they had to deal with the big walls, the windows and all this stuff. But I also like the breakfast and the staff is very friendly.

Hotel Klarov was a very affordable hotel and we were happy that we chose to stay there. It is based on the Castle side of Prague and is only a short (and very pleasant) walk across a bridge to Old town square. The staff were pleasant upon check in and offered us advice on tours around Prague. Our tickets for the Nutcracker ballet were also kept at reception for us which we appreciated.

The room was nicely decorated, modern and for the first time in my life; the mini bar in the room was cheap! It made us laugh that beer was cheaper than water but that seems to be the way in Prague. My other half was very happy about this. I loved the bathroom; it was really big and very clean. I enjoyed using the bath after a freezing cold evening in Prague (-7 degrees)

The tram & underground station is right across the road from the hotel which was very convenient and we used it on a regular basis. It was enough of a distance away to not be noisy - the best of both worlds! You can be whisked away to any landmark within a short space of time. We didn't need any taxis the whole time we were there (not even for the airport!)

For the price, the breakfast is fine. Nothing amazing but we weren't expecting culinary delights anyway. We were happy enough, it kept us full for a morning & there was a good selection of food.

On our last day we wanted to check out & spend our final few hours before the flight at Charles Bridge. The hotel kept our bags for us which made this possible. We appreciated it.

My only complaint: When researching Prague hotels, one of the main selling points on the website is the views from the hotel. If your room is facing front, this is probably true but I was a bit disappointed to open our window & look out onto a building & could see into an office room. "A stunning view from every room" is claimed on the website but this isn't the case for all rooms and the quote isn't true in the case of our room.

Overall, I would stay there again for a trip to Prague & recommend it as a clean, comfy, cosy hotel in an excellent location.

Room Tip: If you want a view, ask for it. It isn't guaranteed, as the website would make you think!

We had a room at the front with a view of the castle. The location is so convenient for walking to almost all major attractions. Breakfast room was small, lower ground floor so no view, but provided good variety of fresh food to start the day. Hotel staff very helpful, suggested places to eat and options for tours, concerts and other cultural events.
However, even with the park directly outside it was a bit noisy with trams and normal traffic especially in the mornings. Our room was not air conditioned and we were in Prague during a heat wave, so the fan provided in the room was used every night. We would definitely stay here again when returning to Prague.

Hotel Klarov exceeded all expectations we had, this hotel is delightful and we were so pleased we chose to stay here. It is in a top location as it is only a short walk into the main part of town and basically overlooks the main attractions Prague Castle and Charles Bridge from some rooms. Our suite did directly look onto Prague castle which was such a beautiful outlook. The suite is huge and very spacious with a fully equipped modern kitchen, there is a dinning area and lounge area. The bedroom itself isn't huge but is still very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and the common areas of the hotel are very stylish also. The breakfast I must say was only OK but it provided us with what we need to start our day but it was nothing special. We would highly recommend this hotel as it is top value for money!

I stayed here for three nights as a solo traveler. The location is absolutely ideal. It is situated right across the street and a small green area from the Malostranska subway stop, and also a tram stop. Arriving via the main train station, it was so easy to just transfer to the subway and arrive a block away from the hotel. It is about a 10 minute walk over the Manesuv bridge into Old Town, a 10 minute walk to the Charles Bridge, and about two blocks away from the foot of the castle steps. The hotel has a lift, but I should note for those with mobility issues that it stopped on a landing between floors, so you still have walk either up or down one flight of stairs. My room was on the top floor, which was great because the room had a loft-like feel with great light and a great view of the Vltava River. There was an original exposed beam which added to the charm and character of the place. Being in the rear of the hotel, it was also very quiet. Breakfast was included, and I really liked that breakfast was served until 10am, so I could sleep late and still eat. Also, the hotel has free wi-fi. The only real negative was that the carpet looked a little tired like it could use a cleaning (the room and bathroom were very clean though). Some minor quirks: I don't usually comment on decor, but the bedspread kind of clashed with the carpet and made the room look a little less nice than it could have. There was also no alarm clock in the room, and no tissues in the bathroom, which I found odd. (By tissues I mean Kleenex, not toilet tissue.) I took a cab to the airport upon departure which was arranged by the front desk. The service they use charges a flat rate of 650 Koruna. I know from research here on Tripadvisor that there are other airport transfer services which charge less, but I didn't plan and book ahead of time. So that is something you may wish to consider.

This hotel situated in a very convenient place that all sightseeing spots are in walkable distance. The bathroom is extraordinary good and clean! The breakfast here is also very good yet is FREE!!!! I will and have recommended this hotel to friends that will come in the future.

This hotel was very well located. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean and the bathroom was a decent size as well. The staff was friendly and helpful when they tried to help us find a particular restaurant we were looking for. They offered umbrellas since it was raining which allowed us to do some sightseeing. Good price as well. It came with free breakfast also. I would definitely stay here again.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Just like all the hotels in the Asten Hotels group, Boutique Hotel Klarov presented an exceptional architectural challenge. Since our takeover of the hotel in 2014, we ask ourselves every single day - how can we surprise you, our dear guests, during your stay and make it a memorable experience? We renovated all of our rooms in 2015, taking inspiration from the stories of the world's most famous musicians who have given concerts in Prague since 1989. Now you can meet superstars like Rolling Stones or Joan Baez, not in person of course, but as motifs. In our Club Lounge and the hotel's private garden you can experience the charm of French countryside right in the center of a global capitol. Our prime location in the center puts all the attractions within walking distance. We do our job with love and passion so that we can meet all your expectations and make you want to stay. We are passionate hoteliers, looking very much forward to seeing you. ... more   less
